Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristian Castellanos.
Hi Kristian, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
ive been living in Florida since 2001 I picked up a camera for the first time a little over a year ago and with the help of another photographer and with constant practice and hard work I was able gain the experience and confidence to start my own photography buisness and gain my own clients I have built personal relationships with. now currently a year later, I have now done every type of photography and have shot for big businesses and corporate clients such as lululemon , Marriott , anime conventions such as AFO , Otaku fest and holiday Matsuri and even a few yacht companies. I have grown my skills and have traveled everywhere around Florida in the last year meeting exciting new people and expanding horizons.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
learning to pivot on my own when photo events dont go well and constantly trying to be consistent in a fast pace enviorment.
As you know, we’re big fans of Focus flow photography. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My South Florida photography business focuses on capturing authentic moments and creating polished, storytelling-driven imagery for weddings, engagements, graduations, maternity sessions, and growing businesses looking to strengthen their visual presence. I specialize in photography that feels natural, emotional, and refined while still reflecting the personality and energy of each client. Whether I’m documenting a couple’s relationship, celebrating a milestone achievement, or creating branding content for a business, my goal is to produce images that feel genuine rather than overly staged. What sets my work apart is my attention to detail, ability to make clients feel comfortable in front of the camera, and a style that blends professionalism with creativity.
Brand wise, I’m most proud of building a photography experience that is personal, adaptable, and centered around meaningful storytelling. I want readers to know that I strive to create timeless images that not only look beautiful, but also help people preserve important moments and elevate their personal or professional brand.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
the thing i love most is the melting pot of different people from all walks of life that I get to meet and interact with on a weekly basis.
what i dislike the most is the construction and zoning over certian areas where wildlife habitat is. I value nature and animals more than anything and I just want to see it thrive
