Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Lee.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Grew up poor on TX Cattle Ranch near Austin. Racism was rampant in our area, even in our family and churches. Raised to fear God – as a Southern Baptist. I loved meeting all races and religions but that desire got me in TONS of trouble regularly. Lol. I was not a masculine boy so hostility seemed to find me an easy target – the church folks, the community, even my family. I saw hypocrisy and cruelty all around me. I always felt as a youth my life was in danger and tried to dim my light and fit in and make any adults happy through obedience and volunteerism. But deep inside as I went off to college in 1988, I turned more angry, selfish and driven – at other’s expense. I hated God/Religion for lying to me – family for calling me evil/sinner and at my father for threatening to kill me with his shotgun rather than have a (gay) son like me – and just society’s open hostility in general to my kind.
I graduated in nursing 30 yrs ago and now practice nursing anesthesia today in Broward County.
Xmas 2007, I had a mystical experience that changed my life forever and profoundly. I attended a small spiritual gathering where an older minister was delivering intuitive messages. I actually attended to out him as a fraud. The universe had other plans for someone who had nothing but hate for anything related to religion. Soon the minister shared intimate and highly accurate details of deceased loved ones, including a name that didn’t match their gender. I became anxious and shaking but oddly happy he was right. He shared a final message to me that shook me to my core. He informed me that Mother Mary had stepped forward in his awareness for me. Her message was one of pure love and kindness and support and nonjudgement for who I was. I was told that day by her how much I was loved by the heavenly realm. He also shared from her how I had free will as a soul – I could stay or leave the church I attended, but if I stayed, I would end up transforming tens of thousands of souls in my lifetime. What no one at this gathering new was that the night prior to this experience, I had planned to forever walk away and leave my newly found spiritual church – because of personal fears and inner turmoil I was carrying for a lifetime. What they also didn’t know was the I had immersed myself for the prior two weeks on the subject matter of the metaphysical interpretation of the birth of Jesus at Christmas time (something I was never taught in Christian churches) – because I had been asked to write a holiday sermon to share soon. So the fact that Mother Mary delivered some highly synchronistic words for me – of love, support and encouragement – and how I might one day serve so many… I realized what I had been told about God and the afterlife was not fully correct. I went home a totally reborn young man – in my mind, body and spirit. I was so inspired and soon found purpose in helping others unfold a better life. That mystical experience gave me a tremendous new purpose in life… to help others find their divine purpose and use such to serve a greater community.
I have since become a #1 International Bestselling Author x2, produced two professional meditation albums, have now spoken on a Million Dollar stage, and have Inspired over 20K people to date.
I’m currently developing new coaching programs/services to go with my latest bestseller (Your Divine Purpose – A Journey to Fulfillment and Legacy.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I put my struggles primarily in former field.
Being gay was poorly tolerated and often attacked in Texas growing up. Many death threats over the years – even by my dad, whom I have a relationship with.
The year of my mystical experience in 2007, I discovered this little metaphysical church in Dania Beach, FL that loved and accepted me and its teachings became so enriching to my spirit, but they were weeks from closing their doors. I fought to keep the doors open and taught them how to grow it like a business. It worked and we grew into a great success church that hosted world-class mystics and teachers from around the globe. The Pandemic caused great financial woes and we closed our doors permanently in 2020. This freed me to evolve into the Motivational Speaker, Business Coach and Author you know today. That was my big pivot.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?

Since 2007 (through my former ministry), I personally have booked/hosted nearly 2000 spiritual services/programs for my community. During that time, I have also been blessed to have inspired over 20,000 persons. Now I spend my time developing my public speaking and personal development services and programs that focus on “discovering your life purpose”, self-love, forgiveness, leadership principles, empowerment principles and even small business development.
What sets me apart is my highly compassionate nature as a speaker (who has walked through the valley of life). My audiences love my Texas accent and stories. I’m very much a leader and coach who builds heart-centered communities and programs. Because of my former ministry, I have had extensive stage/camera and speaker training over 15 years – something I could never have bought anywhere. I feel so blessed.
I’m building out a Purpose Discovery Coaching Program that will span six months time – we plan to launch a mini-version this summer and the full program by autumn 2022.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Yes, no matter what appears to have been lost in life – you always carry knowledge & experience with you.
I lost my ministry and closed its doors. But it released me to fly into my next level of greatness – as a motivational speaker, author, coach and media personality.
I’m grateful for the lesson of the pandemic in my life. It forced me to step up and be personally responsible for further growth and invention – towards a better ME.
