Hi Karla, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been a hairstylist for almost 15 years. I started working as an apprentice in a local salon, learning the basics of cutting, coloring, styling, and more. I quickly developed a passion for the craft and earned my cosmetology license in a few short months. From there, I continued to hone my skills and expand my knowledge of the industry. I took classes and attended seminars on the latest trends and techniques, and developed a strong understanding of color theory and product knowledge.
I’m a Master Stylist, Redken Colorist, Olaplex Certified, Linea 45 Professional and Ybera Paris Certified. As my portfolio and client base began to grow, I decided to open my own salon. This was a significant undertaking, but it gave me the opportunity to truly express my own style and create a unique atmosphere for my clients. Also, I put my heart and soul into building the salon on family values. I am always looking for new ways to challenge myself and grow as a stylist.

No, it has not been a smooth road. There have been many struggles along the way. One of the biggest struggles is staying up to date on the latest trends and techniques. This can be difficult when there are so many different products and styling options available.
Additionally, many hairstylists struggle to manage their time effectively in order to accommodate the large number of clients they may have. Finding the balance between providing a quality service and keeping up with the demand for your services can be a challenge. Additionally, hairstylists must invest in continuing education and certifications to stay competitive in the industry.
