Today we’d like to introduce you to Esco Garcia.
Hi Esco, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been catering to the Miami area for a little over 10 years. I have been doing house calls and also taking care of celebrities. For the past two years, I created my mobile barbershop and it’s called Shapu Cuts (Instagram name is @shapucuts). My goal is to create a fleet of vans to be able to take over the whole South Florida area.
Aside from Shapu Cuts, I also own my own shaving blade company which is called Shapu Blades LLC (@shapublades) and we have been in business since 2016. We started in South Florida and now we are shipping internationally. My third business venture is the Shapu Confessions podcast on YouTube.
The podcast is being recorded inside the Sprinter van. We pull up to the client and have 1 on 1 conversation to be able to inspire the viewers.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I haven’t been easy at all. Since I’m always challenging myself. To be able to create from scratch and get the clients to see the vision and value could be time-consuming and a lot of restless nights.
We focused on trying to bring convenience to our clients.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
The one thing that I have always remembered about my childhood memory is going to school with a whole in my shoes. I have always remembered that because it humbles me to always remember where I came from.
