Hi Davey, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Sidewalk Bottle shop is a Bottle shop by day and a wine bar by night. We moved to Fort Lauderdale specifically because we noticed that every wine list in every bar was the same, no diversity, stuffy and pretentious. We wanted to bring wine up here and introduce real wine to the people of Fort Lauderdale. We have a wine wall with a selection you can take off the wall and bring home as well as pop the bottle here to enjoy in here at the bar or outside in our great courtyard. The wine wall is hand-curated by me. We also offer the absolute best by the glass list that fort Lauderdale has ever seen I100% guarantee it; we even have wines on tap. We are just taking everything people knew about wine and flipping it on its head and making it fun and accessible to everybody. Everything we offer here is considered natural or low intervention style of winemaking; meaning nothing is taken out or added to the wine during the winemaking process. We offer wines from all parts of the world Lebanon, Sylvania, chec republic etc. but then we offer new-world wines as well. Our motto is a real wine and a really good time.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Permitting in this specific building has been really tough, but that’s all behind us now.
