Hidden Gems: Meet Daniela Moreno of MOE studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Moreno.

Hi Daniela, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I’m Daniela- I’m a Miami-based content creator, @ironnsalt, and I recently launched my new business, MOE studio. I’ve been working on this new concept for two years and launching it in August was one of the most fulfilling and scary experiences of my life. I wanted to create a space for all types of creators to have the ability to create the content they’ve dreamed of. I’m learning step by step as a new business owner to navigate the ups and downs of entrepreneurship.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Creating MOE studio was the most challenging thing I’ve ever done. The space I fell in love with was an empty warehouse that had no electricity, running water, air conditioning units, etc. It was what they call a “shell”. Not knowing much about commercial real estate, I dived into a very unfamiliar territory and was met with daily challenges that some days felt too much for me to handle. I had to seek help where I could from my family and close friends who owned businesses as well.

As you know, we’re big fans of MOE studio. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
MOE studio is a content creation studio with 4 home-inspired sets, available to rent short-term, long-term, and on-demand. For $95 an hour, you can rent one of our rooms and play with all sorts of props, furniture, books, etc. Our studio is west facing so the natural light is incredible. We are located at 301 NE 61st. Come play!

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up I was always drawn to beautiful things. I was a sweet and talkative kid who was confident in what I wanted in life and was constantly dreaming. I loved to play dress-up alone in my room, I would carry a little pink camera around because I was obsessed with photography from a very young age. With my best friend growing up, Valentina founder of Sana, we would put on shows, make collages from old magazines, film movies, make-up dances… we were always finding ways to do something creative and that definitely shows in my life now in my 30s.
