Hidden Gems: Meet Christine Daley of Daley Konnect

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christine Daley.

Hi Christine, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have always been passionate about solving problems and creating systems that make people’s lives easier. After earning my Master’s degree in Business Management and spending nearly two decades in corporate roles across finance, operations, and business consulting, I realized I wanted to build something of my own.

In 2021, I founded Daley Konnect, a logistics and courier company connecting the Jamaican diaspora with their families through reliable shipping and delivery services. Like many entrepreneurs, my journey has been filled with both rewarding milestones and difficult challenges. Shortly after launching the business, I experienced significant personal loss, but those experiences strengthened my resilience and reinforced my commitment to building something meaningful.

Today, my focus extends beyond logistics. I am passionate about using business as a vehicle to create opportunities, improve systems, and help entrepreneurs turn ideas into sustainable businesses. I believe entrepreneurship is about more than making money, it’s about solving real problems, creating impact, and leaving every system better than you found it.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Entrepreneurship has been one of the most rewarding and challenging journeys of my life. Building a business from the ground up has meant navigating limited resources, learning through trial and error, and making difficult decisions while staying focused on a long-term vision.

One of my greatest challenges came shortly after launching Daley Konnect. Five days after launching, I lost my sister, and just one month later, my mother. Trying to navigate profound personal grief while building a new business tested every part of me. There were days when simply showing up felt like a victory. To this day, I’m still not sure why I didn’t give up, I had every reason to. But those experiences strengthened my determination to build something that would outlast me.

Today, I no longer view challenges as roadblocks. I see them as data, feedback, and opportunities to grow. Every setback has taught me something valuable about leadership, resilience, and the importance of building businesses that can withstand difficult seasons. Those experiences have strengthened not only Daley Konnect, but also the woman I am becoming.

As you know, we’re big fans of Daley Konnect. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Daley Konnect is more than a courier company, it was built to connect families, businesses, and opportunities between the United States and Jamaica. We specialize in international shipping, customs brokerage, and door-to-door delivery, making it easier for customers to receive the items they need with reliability and transparency.

Our mission is simple: to connect more than packages: we connect people, possibilities, and progress. Every shipment represents someone’s livelihood, a family’s love, or a business depending on us, and we take that responsibility seriously.

What sets us apart is our commitment to service. We understand that behind every package is a person, a family, or a business. Whether it’s a care package, business inventory, or a time-sensitive delivery, we treat every shipment with the same level of care, accountability, and professionalism.

Beyond logistics, Daley Konnect represents a bigger vision. I want to build systems that empower people, create employment, and help bridge the gap between the Caribbean and its diaspora. My long-term goal is to expand beyond shipping into business consulting, logistics solutions, and entrepreneurship support, helping more people turn ideas into sustainable businesses.

More than anything, I want readers to know that Daley Konnect was built on resilience, integrity, and the belief that great businesses are created by solving real problems. We are still growing, but every day we are working toward becoming a company that customers trust, communities are proud to support, and future entrepreneurs can look to as proof that meaningful businesses can start with a simple idea and a commitment to serve and the courage to keep going.

What are your plans for the future?
One of the greatest lessons the past few years and especially COVID has taught us is, that the future is inherently uncertain. No matter how carefully we plan, life and business will always present unexpected challenges. But over the past four years, grief has fundamentally changed how I move through life.

Because of that, my future plans are about more than simply growing Daley Konnect. While I want to expand the business, strengthen our logistics network, I am also excited about introducing innovative solutions, such as subscription-based shipping, to make international shipping more predictable, affordable, and convenient for our customers. Equally I also want to continue growing personally. For a long time, I believed entrepreneurship meant constantly working and chasing the next milestone. Today, I believe true success is about building smarter through systems, automation, and AI, while also prioritizing rest, mental well-being, continuous learning, and becoming a better leader…..not just a busier one.

Ultimately, my biggest focus is being present—both personally and in business. The world is changing faster than ever, and technology, especially AI, is transforming how we live and work. History has shown us that even great companies can disappear if they fail to adapt. My goal is to stay curious, stay present, and remain willing to evolve with the times. I believe the businesses that thrive won’t necessarily be the biggest, they will be the ones that keep learning, adapting, and embracing change.
