Today we’d like to introduce you to Carlos Pulido.
Hi Carlos, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story really begins in Colombia. I was born in Tunja and moved to Miami in 1999. Like many immigrants, I came here with dreams of building a better future, although at the time I had no idea exactly what that future would look like.
For nearly 20 years, my world was the Latin music and entertainment industry. I worked as a DJ, photographer, promoter, and MC, and that chapter of my life taught me a lot about people, relationships, marketing, communication, and the importance of building a personal brand. More importantly, it taught me how much I enjoy connecting with people.
As life evolved, so did my priorities. I became a husband and a father, and my definition of success began to change. I wanted to build something with more long-term purpose—not only for myself, but for my family.
That eventually led me to real estate. I became a licensed Realtor in 2020, and what started as a new career quickly became something much bigger. I realized that many of the skills I had developed throughout my previous career translated perfectly into real estate, but now I could use them to help people through some of the biggest decisions and transitions of their lives.
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of helping families buy and sell homes throughout South Florida while building a business and reputation that I’m extremely proud of. I’ve also become increasingly involved in leadership at Keller Williams Premier Properties in Miami. Today, in addition to serving my own clients, I have the opportunity to work with, mentor, recruit, and support other real estate professionals as they build their own businesses.
Real estate has changed my life in ways I never expected. It has given me the opportunity to provide for my family, serve my community, meet incredible people, and continue growing personally and professionally.
And I still feel like I’m just getting started.
For me, the next chapter isn’t simply about selling more homes. It’s about becoming a better leader, creating opportunities for others, making a bigger impact in my community, and building something my family can be proud of for generations.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I think that’s also what makes the journey meaningful.
One of my biggest challenges was essentially starting over professionally. I spent almost 20 years in the entertainment industry, where I had built relationships, experience, and a reputation. When I entered real estate in 2020, none of that automatically made me a successful Realtor. I had to learn a completely new industry, build credibility again, and prove to myself that I could succeed in a different chapter of my life.
Real estate itself can also be a very challenging business. There are months when everything seems to be working and others when deals fall apart, clients change direction, the market shifts, or something completely outside of your control happens. You quickly learn that success in this industry requires resilience and consistency.
Another challenge has been learning how to balance ambition with what matters most to me. I’m naturally driven and always thinking about the next goal, but I’m also a husband and a father. My family is the reason I work as hard as I do, so I’ve had to learn that success isn’t really success if you accomplish everything professionally but aren’t present for the people you’re doing it for.
There have been plenty of mistakes, difficult transactions, long days, uncertainty, and moments when I’ve questioned myself. But looking back, those experiences have probably taught me more than the victories.
I’ve learned to become comfortable being uncomfortable. Every time I’ve stepped into a new role—whether it was becoming a Realtor, building my business, or stepping into leadership—I’ve had to grow into a version of myself that didn’t exist yet.
I don’t see challenges as evidence that you’re on the wrong path anymore. A lot of the time, they’re simply part of becoming capable of handling what’s waiting for you at the next level.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Carlos E. Pulido, P.A?
My real estate business operates under my personal brand, Carlos Pulido Real Estate, in partnership with Keller Williams Premier Properties in Miami.
I work with both buyers and sellers throughout South Florida, with a strong focus on Miami-Dade and particularly the Kendall area. Whether I’m helping someone purchase their first home, sell a property, relocate to South Florida, or make an investment, I try to approach every transaction with the same philosophy: real estate is ultimately a relationship business.
One thing that has become a major part of my brand is marketing. My background in entertainment gave me a different perspective on how to promote properties and, just as importantly, how to build trust with an audience. Today, social media, video, photography, technology, and personal branding are all important parts of how I communicate with clients and market my business.
But I never want technology to replace the human side of what we do.
Buying or selling a home can be exciting, stressful, emotional, and sometimes life-changing. I want my clients to know they have someone they can actually call, someone who will communicate with them, advocate for them, negotiate for them, and tell them the truth even when the truth isn’t necessarily what they want to hear.
I’m especially proud of the reputation we’ve built through our clients. Reviews, referrals, repeat business, and seeing past clients recommend me to their friends and families mean more to me than any advertisement ever could. To me, that’s one of the strongest measurements of a brand: what people say about you when you’re not in the room.
My professional life has also expanded beyond my individual real estate business. As part of the leadership team at Keller Williams Premier Properties, I now have the opportunity to help other real estate agents grow their businesses as well. That’s become an incredibly meaningful part of this chapter of my career.
Ultimately, I don’t want my name to be associated simply with selling houses. I want people to associate Carlos Pulido with service, relationships, professionalism, community, and someone they can trust when it’s time to make a real estate move.
That’s also the meaning behind a phrase I use throughout my business: Turning Houses into Homes.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I’m a big believer in constantly learning and working on yourself, so I consume a lot of content around personal growth, mindset, business, leadership, marketing, and real estate.
Two books that have influenced me are The ONE Thing by Gary Keller and Jay Papasan and Building a StoryBrand 2.0 by Donald Miller. The ONE Thing reinforces the importance of focus and identifying the activity that matters most, while StoryBrand has influenced the way I think about marketing and communication—especially the idea that your message should be simple, clear, and focused on the person you’re trying to serve.
Social media is another major learning resource for me. I follow entrepreneurs, real estate professionals, coaches, and leaders from different industries, and I’m constantly paying attention to what they’re doing, what’s working, and what I can learn from them.
But one of my favorite resources isn’t an app, book, or podcast—it’s people. I’ve become very intentional about surrounding myself with people who are further ahead than I am in different areas of life. Some of the most valuable things I’ve learned have come from conversations with successful agents, business owners, leaders, mentors, and friends.
I believe you should always remain a student. The moment you think you have everything figured out is probably the moment you stop growing.
