Hi Billy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I created Nautical Network three years ago after starting a boating enthusiast Instagram profile called Boats Gone Wild. As my following grew, so did my engagement. Standard comments turned into qualified leads for boat sales. With a page, increasing engagement and no clear business structure, I quickly began to realize the power of social media and ways to generate income by leveraging my following. One Instagram page grew into ten, all focused on different niche markets within the industry. Large maritime companies recognized the value in brand awareness and began working with Nautical Network’s content creation and distribution teams to add growth among their companies channels. To date, Nautical Network is the largest and fastest-growing social media and marketing company in the maritime industry.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In the beginning, the growth of Nautical Network was a journey. Trying to pitch a value on a social media following was challenging. Once I was given opportunities to sit down with large maritime companies, I could quickly convince them how a social media following could translate into boat sales. I shared with companies names of qualified leads gathered from my following and engagement. It wasn’t until my qualified leads translated into actual sales that showed companies Nautical Network’s worth.

We are “knot” your typical marketing company, we strategize with clients how to maximize their social media reach and engagement. Our social team creates posting calendars outlining when campaigns, company news and other important information should be shared with followers.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Large maritime companies can work with Nautical Network by contacting the company directly or by reaching out on one of our social platforms. We have account managers who will discuss in detail our distribution packages and strategize a marketing plan. If needed, our head of content creation can schedule listing shoots, promo videos and macro/micro content to utilize across our networks and theirs. Once a clear outline of marketing expectations are met, we will then begin our campaign providing companies with monthly analytics on how their brand is performing among our channels.
