Hi Anthony, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I’ve been a serial entrepreneur since I was 19 and I’m also a contractor by trade as the founder of South Florida-based HVAC servicing company, Air Pros USA in 2017. Inspected.com, a virtual inspection platform, emerged from my frustration as a business owner seeing my crews waiting around for in-person permit inspectors who were delayed or stuck in traffic, stalling projects for my team and customers.
I quickly saw the potential for a resource like Inspected.com within the industry and community. I brought the idea to my childhood friend, and we partnered together to streamline Inspected.com’s launch when the pandemic hit.
Today we have over 150 clients registered in 200 cities and are on track to break some company records!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Some businesses and contractors may feel hesitant to trust virtual inspections over in-person inspections. Especially within essential industries such as construction, it can be difficult to introduce a new technology or idea like Inspected.com but time after time we see contractors changing their attitudes when they see how easy, accurate, and helpful Inspected.com is to their work.
We’ve been impressed with Inspected.com, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Inspected.com is reinventing the way inspections are done, saving contractors valuable time, money, labor, and paperwork. We are used by contractors and businesses across the generator, solar HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fixtures, pool, and roofing industries. Some of our features include the ability to instantly schedule and perform inspections, automatically geotag locations, capture high-quality video and images, and document every step of the inspection process in real time.
Our clients have been able to decrease project times from start to finish by cutting inspection wait time frames from hours to minutes. In the 2 short years since launching, we have helped thousands push projects forward. We’ve become a leading choice both in the local Florida market and nationally because we listen to what contractors and business owners need.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
We are still seeing increased demand for our virtual inspection services even after pandemic restrictions were lifted. I believe this means that virtual inspections are here to stay. If you’re not using virtual inspections, you’re going to fall behind. Our clients have been able to grow and expand efficiently by being able to schedule and complete inspections on the same day, compared to waiting weeks for an inspector to visit your site.
I also see virtual inspections becoming a best practice. Florida has been a big player in making both virtual inspections and private party inspectors the new normal nationally. We are fierce advocates for their use and currently, 47 states allow private party inspectors which opens up an avenue for more businesses to utilize their benefits.
