Hidden Gems: Meet Alexis Williams of Alexis Williams VA Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Williams.

Hi Alexis, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Starting a Virtual Assistance business was something I never imagined for myself. I graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s in Psychology and shortly after graduation I entered the sales Industry. I became a licensed Insurance Agent, but I knew it was not my purpose in life. I felt unfulfilled until after giving birth to my daughter in 2021.

I quickly realized that I couldn’t continue to pursue paths that weren’t a part of who I was meant to be in life. So, I actively started researching different business ventures online and stumbled across a YouTube video of a young mother explaining her part-time work as a Virtual Assistant.

I knew instantly that I was meant to be in the online space as a freelance Virtual Assistant. I leaped into action and developed a business plan to obtain my LLC. Once my business became legal, I took to Instagram and made my first post introducing myself as a new and upcoming Virtual Assistant and I landed my first client within less than a week of making my announcement.

I was excited and it showed that I was heading in the right direction. Now I am an established Virtual Assistant that has a steady book of business along with mentoring other upcoming Virtual Assistants. I made smart investments in my business which has led me to scale and grow to where I am today.

Based on where I am today in business, I wouldn’t change a thing that has led me here. It all has equipped me to manage my business with integrity and wisdom and for that, I am extremely grateful.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I wouldn’t say the road has been smooth, but I would say it has been steady. I knew going into business that it wouldn’t be easy or even the most comfortable thing to do, but I decided that I had to start to gain my full potential.

My biggest struggle has been self-doubt. Whenever I fully emerged into the online space, I quickly saw that so many women were doing great things and at first, it made me believe that I was not capable or could ever experience the same success.

I was wrong and when I stopped comparing and started being inspired, I soon started to see real growth.

Did I have slow sales, rejections, no-shows, and left-on-read DMs… yes, but that did not stop me instead it made me analyze my business more and learn from all the ‘nos”.

I took each rejection and made provisions to my business which led to higher success in a steady and continuous way.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
