Hi Alexis, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
While I was originally born in Miami Beach, FL, I was mostly raised in New York City, where I obtained a degree in fashion design from The Fashion Institute of Technology and ran with a graffiti crew; truly, I am a creative and designer at heart. In 2015, I made my way back to Miami, fired up by the desire to leverage my New York experiences in jewelry, fur design, and luxury watches, blending those with the opulence of South Florida. To execute this vision, I decided to obtain my real estate license, believing it would be the quickest path to meet people and forge meaningful relationships.
In my real estate practice, I’ve set myself apart from the vast array of agents by positioning myself as a local expert, delivering a streamlined, bespoke, and well-informed customer journey that truly resonates with my clientele. More than anything, I’ve remained true to my core values: integrity, transparency, and the courage to always do what is right. This commitment opened the door to new relationships, which inevitably created a wealth of opportunities, leading me into the vibrant world of yachts which is a logical complement to the multitude of water front real estate properties in South Florida.
Starting as a yacht stew with The Advantaged Yachts, I immersed myself in learning about various vessels and the intricacies of yacht charters for a couple of years. Eventually, I requested the chance to obtain my yacht sales license to dive deeper into the buy and sell side of yachting; and of course, charter memberships. The Advantaged Yachts embraced my ambition, granting me the opportunity to obtain my license. Today, I broker vessels all around the globe, proudly representing two distinguished yacht brands: Ventura Yachts, a Brazilian brand with over 40 years of heritage, and Sessa Marine Yachts, a century-old name celebrated for its luxury finishes and exceptional design and engineering. I’ve had the honour of being showcased as a spokeswoman for both brands and had the privilege of representing Ventura Yachts at the Miami International Boat Show.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like the old adage states . . . “nothing is easy.” I went through a myriad of trials and tribulations, but nonetheless pushed through. Initially, I was working two and three jobs at a time, until I was able to garner the necessary knowledge and relationship equity to obtain and close deals. Perhaps my toughest struggle along the way was the realization that I was the only person that was going to make this happen for myself. Despite the challenges, this was and is simply part of the journey. Like my husband (a retired U.S. Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel) often says — “it’s important to learn the hard lessons from stumbling around in the dark and bumping your head or getting punched around.” Life is a roller coaster of ups, downs, twists, and turns. The main thing for me is to stay committed, believe in God, and persevere.
As you know, we’re big fans of The Advantaged Yachts . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am licensed globally as a yacht and ship sales person. I hang my license at an organization called The Advantaged Yachts, an entity that has been around for almost two decades and has a reputation beyond reproach and is mostly known for providing elevated services to its yacht clientele while also giving back to the community through philanthropic efforts.
I’d like for the reader to know that I can assist them in any and all of their yacht requirements, to include the acquisition or sale of a vessel on a global scale, the chartering of a yacht (for leisure or business purposes), or providing access for those new to the yacht world through The Advantaged Yachts’ annual membership programs. In short, I specialize in all things yachts. In terms of differentiation, what sets my team and I apart is the fact (1) we are a “one stop shop” wherein we accommodate the buy/sell transaction, financing, and the other relevant parts of the ecosystem (post purchase charter, boat slip, etc.), (2) we are obsessed with quality and delivering value; in short, we ensure the customer journey and product fit are aligned with the customer’s objectives.
Brand wise — I have learned to believe in myself, and so the pride in my personal brand starts from within; and from there, I choose to associate myself with like minded individuals and brands where we have alignment on core values, quality, and customer experience. Having said that, and despite being tremendously proud of the brands I represent, I am more focused on “people” and some semblance of a “value exchange” where it makes sense (in other words, not every deal is worth doing or should be done for the sake of doing a deal)

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
I always enjoyed drawing and painting with my younger brother, who is now an artist and painter as an adult. Similarly, I still find the time to paint and create art to this day.
