Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandrea Brea.
Hi Alexandrea, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
This was definitely a journey to where I am today. I remember in high school, my mom asked me what I wanted to major in. I remember googling, “What college majors make the most money?” The first thing that came up was engineering. I always wanted to be successful, and to me success was associated with money. So that’s exactly what I did, I went to Florida Memorial University and Florida International University to major in just that. While there, I had an opportunity to work for Walt Disney World Imagineers, NASA and Department of Defense. I literally did everything from roller coaster concepts to work on the launch schedule for SLS space vehicle to testing flight simulators for the NAVY. All within three years, I was thought to be building an amazing engineering resume. After getting stuck with calculus, I realized maybe I’m just not cut out for it anymore so I switched gears.
The only person in my family that could cook was my grandfather Wilmore “Slater” Rolle. He was an executive chef my whole life in the pristine Bal Harbor 101. I always loved watching the cooking channel from middle school and literally my tv would never leave that channel. Not sure what captivated me but I guess to see what people could do with foods and the different techniques caught my attention. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize how much I love cooking until after my granddad passed away when I was 18 before I was interested in learning what he wanted to teach me from when I was way younger.
After working in 3 different restaurants in a span of two years, my company “The Private Chef Experience Miami” was created.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not a smooth road, there was plenty of trial and error along the way. Not only was this a new profession for me but a new business as well. Some struggles were how to get it started, how to have people find out about it. With no money and resources was definitely tough but I used this opportunity to get too creative.
As you know, we’re big fans of The Private Chef Experience Miami. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
The Private Chef Experience Miami also known as TPCE MIAMI. Is a personalized private chef dining experience that can be customized for all needs. What sets us apart from similar services is we emphasize on customer service from point of contact to the very end of the event ensuring you receive your space as clean as it was given to us and everything in between. The thing that I am most proud is our Google Reviews, not only do we have 191 reviews and counting all of them are 5-Stars which shows a lot about of consistency and great feedback. We would like the readers to know that our services are available to anyone and we try our best to make sure each event goes as perfect as it can be. Not only do we offer great food, we offer table decor, custom menus, wait staff as well as other add-ons like massages.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something surprising to know is that we are constantly growing and evolving the business to make it better and more detail orientated. So even if you booked us last year, once you book again in the future, the service will most likely have some changes that make your event more special.
