Hi Addie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
As many great and successful individuals my journey has been filled with adversaries. I was born into a large family which allowed me to be as creative as I am today. My mother gifted me the talent of servicing others and I continue to keep her legacy alive by doing due diligence.
I attended cosmetology school while working in the hospitality industry. The combination of both provided me with an upper hand in professionalism. I strive to inspire others and teach others. I have so much in store for the near future and I am just beginning.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has been a rocky one. As with any business perseverance and FAITH is required. You have to remain humble and graceful all while dealing with the hardships of life. Therapy has helped with keeping me centered in life and business.
Small business owners do suffer a lot but being a small black business owner, more doors has been shut than opened for me. That is why it is important to have balance. My current challenge is finding individuals who are like-minded both in business and life.

Addie J. Beautie is the epitome of beauty with no boundaries. There is nothing beauty related that cannot be accomplished. We provide some of the trendiest styles all while keeping the traditional beauty techniques.
I specialize in an array of beauty services but some of my most requested services are quick weaves, ponytails, and wig installations. We provide an experience rather than a service. I am proud of the brand being so consistent in being fully booked which allowed us to add more slots in the evenings.
What do you think about happiness?
The smile and reactions after providing a service. I truly enjoy seeing the confidence in women beam through their smiles and sometimes tears.
The reaction of my brides, prom and birthday clients makes my heart smile. Outside of my business, my family, friends, and life partner make me happy!
