GIOVANNA 🌍 shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
GIOVANNA, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
Art.
I can easily forget about the world and the “reality” of time while creating, no matter what medium I’m using. Being able to let go of time is in a way disassociating with the present which can feel like an out of body experience… yet we are immersed with self.
Mind blowing.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is GIOVANNA, I’m an alchemist from Bogota, Colombia raised in Broward, FL and I create my own world. You can find me on the internet under GIOVANNA’s WORLD or MUNDO GIOVANNA.
I am also The Foul Hundreds, if you know you know but regardless you will know soon.
I practice many mediums all depending on how I feel, I encourage creativity to be dabbled with by everyone no matter the age.
My purpose in life is to innovate, heal, share & repeat.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Trust creates a safe environment, when that’s broken it strains the relationship. I feel that the only way to restore a bond is through true authentic consistency with God’s grace.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me how to appreciate life more. Living in gratitude with consistency, you eventually get to the point that you’re even thankful for the suffering. It’s a reminder of the balance in life and how easily heaven and hell are a state of mind.
Therefore, thanksgiving is everyday.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
God.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
It’s not about following tradition, it’s about listening to our ancestors.
Evolution requires change from the mind, body & spirit without letting go of our past but using our bloodline as a tool for a better future.
