Today we’d like to introduce you to Waylon Zeng.
Hi Waylon, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Aestira began with a simple observation: modern aesthetic medicine had become fragmented and transactional. Surgery, wellness, nutrition, and lifestyle were often treated as separate domains, even though they influence the same outcome—how a person looks, heals, and feels.
During years of surgical training, the founder of Aestira saw patients preparing for transformative procedures yet receiving very little guidance about the elements that actually influence recovery and long-term results: nutrition, wellness, and skin health. Many cosmetic surgery centers have become too transaction-focused without much patient-centered care. Many wellness spaces also focused heavily on trends while avoiding evidence-based medical care.
Aestira was created to bridge that divide.
The vision was to build a practice where aesthetic surgery and medical wellness exist within the same ecosystem—where facial, breast, and body procedures are supported by science-driven protocols that optimize healing, longevity of results, and overall wellbeing.
Aestira combines the ideas of aesthetics, restoration, and personalized care. The goal was to create an environment that feels intentional in every detail—calm, minimal, and design-driven—more similar to a refined wellness sanctuary than a traditional medical office.
That philosophy extends into everything Aestira produces—from surgical care to educational content, recovery nutrition, and community events. Every element is designed to help patients understand their bodies and make informed choices about aesthetic care.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. Stiff competition with low-cost cosmetic surgery clinics in Miami makes it very tough for a new clinic to differentiate and demonstrate high-touch experience. I’ve had to change office locations while trying to learn marketing and the business side to medicine.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a plastic surgeon in Miami specializing in facial and breast procedures. What the wellness community lacks is a fine comb to remove the snake oil. What many surgeons do not think to care about is how difficult recovery can be for patients. I founded Aestira to combine surgical excellence with integrative wellness to provide patients an elevated experience. Our brand focuses on delivering personalized treatment in surgical, nonsurgical, and wellness approaches to unveil a more refined and rejuvenated you.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
As someone who is still early in the game, I could use as much advice or words of encouragement as I can. If I could tell my self from 6-8 months ago anything, it’s to do my due diligence. Any contract or agreement can wait until I have done my research. Do not rush into signing anything
