Today we’d like to introduce you to Sofia Silberman.
Hi Sofia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born in Colombia, when I was two months old, my family relocated to Venezuela, where I lived for 18 years. After finishing high school, I moved to sunny Miami, Florida, where I now reside.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Completely the opposite, although at the beginning it seemed quite smooth.
In 2010, I got married to my longtime boyfriend and best friend, Aaron, and a year later, we decided that it was time to expand our family; things didn’t go exactly as planned and that’s when the road became rough. After battling infertility for three years, along with one miscarriage, I finally gave birth to my twin boys thanks to the wonders of science. Twenty months and a second miscarriage later, I was blessed with a third son and became a mom of Three Under 2.
Three years later, to my surprise and to have the best of happy endings, I was blessed with my fourth child, this time a beautiful baby girl.
It’s been a very tough road, but one that has made me stronger, wiser, happier, more spiritual and most importantly a mother.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Going through such troubles of becoming a mother inspired me to help others in need, by sharing my experiences and giving advice when asked. That drove me to start my non-profit foundation, Three Under 2 Foundation, which was created to help couples suffering infertility by providing them with guidance, support, and resources to accompany them throughout this journey.
I am a real estate agent and form part of the Goldbrand Agency, which specializes in the off market properties in the North Miami Beach and Aventura area. Our goal is to find the best deal for both buyers and sellers, along with making the transactions hassle free and enjoyable.
We also own a couple of marketing companies that specializes in the customization of apparel and promotional products, www.stichink.com and www.thecustomlane.com
What were you like growing up?
I was a very happy kid growing up. My parents always encouraged me to pursue my dreams and to fight for what I wanted. They were an example to me, always showing me the importance of helping others and always being there for anyone in need. I was always a very responsible person and very determined to achieve my goals.
