Exploring Life & Business with Ronit Falevitch of Arilan Skincare

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ronit Falevitch.

Hi Ronit, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been working in the skincare industry for over 25 years as an esthetician. I was trained by the top plastic surgeons and dermatologists in Beverly Hills, California. As an esthetician, I’ve been treating different skin types and colors for many years and helping people look good and feel confident. I used and admired many different skincare brands but I couldn’t find one that has everything I wanted. Such as products that are cruelty-free, vegan, alcohol-free, fragrance-free, paraben-free, and contain minimum ingredients. I also prefer the products to be super hydrating and gentle to the skin.

Cruelty-free and vegan products are personally the most important to me, as I grew up on a big farm in Israel where I was surrounded by animals and nature. I also have dry/sensitive skin and it was hard for me to find a product that will address my skin’s dryness without clogging and irritating my skin. For the last seven years, I was searching for information and a trusted lab to create my skincare brand that will focus on gentle exfoliation and super hydration with drastic results that will be soothing for all skin types including sensitive skin.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing is easy when you start a new project, but it was defiantly exciting, challenging, and at the same time very rewarding. My boys were very young and I didn’t want to miss the joy of motherhood so I was limited with the time I had to create my brand. I took baby steps through the whole process and seven years later, it was done. The hardest challenge to overcome was the COVID-19 pandemic, which made it hard to produce and distribute the products. The easiest mission was naming my brand “Arilan” which is the combination of my boys’ names: Ari and Ilan.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Arilan Skincare is a cruelty-free and vegan skincare brand certified by PETA and Leaping Bunny. We make our products in small batches filled with lots of love in an FDA-registered facility. I am a celebrity esthetician and I started my career 25 years ago in the heart of Beverly Hills, California.

Working with different skin types for over 25 years armed me with knowledge and helped me understand the skin’s different needs. My skincare brand is great for all skin types and colors. I wanted to create products that will be great for everyone. I believe in frequent gentle exfoliation and super hydration. My favorite hydrating ingredient is hyaluronic acid that I added to my day and night cream, my oxygenating mask, and my pure hyaluronic serum. I am very proud to read the reviews on our website, where clients are raving about the quality of my products and the results they are experiencing.

My business is 100% woman-owned and proudly manufactured in the United States.

Any big plans?
My Skincare brand is only two and half years old and we have faced many challenges during the pandemic and the lockdown in 2020. We are very lucky to have loyal online customers and very excited to watch our wholesale accounts grow with exclusive spas, boutiques, and estheticians in the USA. We are looking forward to expanding and opening new wholesale accounts around the world while following Leaping Bunny’s requirements and protecting animal rights. We won’t open wholesale accounts in countries that do not have sufficient animal protection regulations.
