Today we’d like to introduce you to Rodrigo Luporini.
Rodrigo, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey started in Brazil, where I developed my background in marketing, sales and business development. Over the years, I’ve always enjoyed the challenge of building relationships, developing new markets, and finding opportunities for products that offer something truly different.
Today, I’m the Business Development & Sales Manager for SEABOB Americas, based in South Florida. My focus is on expanding the SEABOB brand across the U.S., developing new dealer and business partnerships, and introducing the product to markets beyond its traditional yachting and coastal presence.
One of the most exciting parts of my role has been taking SEABOB into new environments—from lakes and marinas to resorts, rental operations, surf parks, and other recreational markets. I spend a lot of time traveling, meeting business owners and customers, demonstrating the product, and seeing firsthand how people react when they experience a SEABOB for the first time.
What I enjoy most is that I’m not simply selling a product. I’m helping build a market and create new opportunities around a very unique experience on the water. That challenge, and the relationships that come with it, are what continue to motivate me today.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been introducing a premium and unique product into new markets where people may not be familiar with SEABOB. Building awareness and the right partnerships takes time, but seeing the brand grow and customers experience the product makes it very rewarding.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
SEABOB is a premium water toy designed and manufactured in Germany, combining performance, technology, and design to create a unique experience both on and under the water. Our latest F9 series, designed in collaboration with Studio F. A. Porsche, is lightweight, fully electric, and incredibly easy to use. We are proud that SEABOB has become a recognized name in the luxury marine industry, and our focus now is expanding that experience beyond yachting into lakes, resorts, rentals, and other recreational markets across the U.S.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I believe taking calculated risks is essential for growth. In business development, especially when entering new markets, you have to be willing to try new approaches, travel to new regions, and invest time in opportunities without knowing exactly what the outcome will be. I see risk as part of the process—if you believe in the product, do your homework, and stay adaptable, taking chances can open doors you never expected.
