Exploring Life & Business with Rafael Antonio Rositto of Mayas Made in Honduras

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rafael Antonio Rositto.

Hi Rafael Antonio, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Mayas Made in Honduras landed in Miami with a clear mission: put Honduran design on the global fashion map. While the brand first made waves with its signature Mayan-inspired jewelry, it has since blossomed into something much bigger. Now boasting an expansive collection of exclusive and exotic pieces, the brand seamlessly blends rich heritage with a sleek, chic aesthetic, proving that traditional culture and cosmopolitan style belong on the very same runway.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
“Adaptability is more than a survival skill; it’s a strategy. By viewing every disruption as a learning opportunity, I’ve been able to turn unforeseen challenges into competitive advantages.”

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Mayas Made in Honduras is more than just an online boutique—it is a digital sanctuary for Honduran heritage and identity. Specializing in handcrafted, ethnic jewelry and accessories, the concept shop serves as a vibrant bridge between traditional artisan craftsmanship and modern style. Now making history as the first Miami-based online jewelry shop dedicated exclusively to showcasing Honduran design, the brand is fueled by a proud and powerful mission: to carry the spirit, stories, and undeniable beauty of their culture into every corner of the globe.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
For thirteen years, one foundational philosophy has guided my entrepreneurial journey: “El que no arriesga, no gana”—he who doesn’t risk, doesn’t win. Taking the initial gamble to launch my own brand was the best decision I ever made. It has been a passport to incredible places and a masterclass taught by the remarkable people I’ve collaborated with along the way. Today, that risk-taking evolution continues. This week marks the debut of Raíces, a highly curated, elevated jewelry line designed for the modern connoisseur.
