Exploring Life & Business with Rachel Newland of Nova Health Spa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Newland.

Hi Rachel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
For 7 years, I worked as a critical care nurse, specializing in the cardiac unit and open-heart recovery. Four of those years were spent traveling across the country, caring for patients in some of the most intense hospital environments imaginable. I loved what I did, but over time, I started noticing a pattern, so many of the patients I cared for were suffering from chronic illnesses that could have been prevented with earlier intervention and better lifestyle support.

That realization planted a seed in me. I began to think about what it would look like to take everything I’d learned in critical care and apply it to a space that focused on prevention rather than crisis. After a year of planning and soul-searching, I decided to take the leap and start my own business.

In January 2024, Nova Health Spa was born…a place where science and holistic wellness meet. I began by offering IV infusions and injectables, and over time, it has evolved into so much more: a space dedicated to helping others feel vibrant, confident, and in control of their health before illness ever takes hold.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve always believed that nothing worthwhile ever comes easy, and my journey with Nova Health Spa has been no exception. When I decided to open my practice, I was living in California and I had never even lived in Florida before. I didn’t know exactly where my ideal clientele was or how to reach them, but I knew my vision was clear.

Through patience, research, and genuine connection-building within the South Florida community, I slowly began to find my footing. There were plenty of twists, turns, and obstacles along the way, but my passion for helping others always guided me forward.

Even now, as the business grows, challenges still arise, especially in an industry where clients place deep trust in you to help them look, feel, and heal from the inside out. But it’s that trust, and the transformation I get to witness every day, that reminds me why I took this leap in the first place.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Nova Health Spa?
At Nova Health Spa, my goal has always been to combine my medical background with a more natural, preventative approach to health and beauty. I wanted to create a space where people could feel comfortable taking care of themselves, inside and out.

I specialize in IV infusions, injectables, and advanced skin treatments like Morpheus8 microneedling with radiofrequency technology. Each service is designed to support overall wellness while enhancing confidence and helping clients feel renewed.

What makes Nova unique is the level of care and personalization that goes into every experience. Many of our treatments don’t include any type of medication. Instead, we focus on natural, science-based solutions that work with the body, not against it. For example, Lemon Bottle, one of our most popular treatments, uses all-natural ingredients for localized fat destruction and body contouring without the need for harsh chemicals or invasive procedures.

I take time to understand each client’s goals and create treatment plans that are tailored specifically for them. I believe it’s not just about how you look, but how you feel, and when both align, that’s when real transformation happens.

I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built through this journey. Many of my clients have become like family, and seeing their progress (both physically and mentally) reminds me why I started. Nova Health Spa isn’t just about beauty; it’s about helping people feel stronger, healthier, and more confident in their own skin.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Alongside running Nova Health Spa, I’m a proud member of the Army Nurse Corps. My military experience has shaped the way I lead and care for others, teaching me discipline, adaptability, and the importance of precision under pressure. Those same values guide how I approach every client at Nova, with trust, consistency, and compassion at the forefront.

Service has many forms, and for me, it’s about helping others feel stronger, whether that’s a soldier on duty or someone rediscovering confidence in their own skin.
