I founded Paula V Design out of a deep passion for design and an unwavering belief that the spaces we inhabit have a profound impact on our well-being.
From an early age, I have been captivated by design, functionality, and problem-solving, with creativity being an intrinsic part of who I am. My journey led me from New York to Italy, and after earning my degree from Cornell University, I made my home in Miami, Florida.
There, I honed my architectural skills, collaborating with prestigious brands such as The Ritz-Carlton, Waldorf Astoria, St. Regis, Hilton, and Marriott, among others. My expertise spans high-end residential architecture, interior design, hospitality design, wellness spaces, and home renovation.
Functionality, meticulous attention to detail, mindfulness, and a refined yet timeless aesthetic are the foundational principles that define my design philosophy and fuel my creative inspiration. The environments we occupy play a significant role in shaping our mindset and overall lifestyle. I draw inspiration from my experiences in travel and daily life, constantly exploring new dimensions of design.
My strong commitment to wellness led me to become a wellness advocate and professional, complementing my career in architecture and design. This holistic perspective is a cornerstone of my work and influences every project I undertake.
My lifestyle is a key source of inspiration for my designs. When I feel at ease and connected to my surroundings, my creativity and productivity thrive. This is the experience I strive to create for my clients—a home or space that serves as a sanctuary, nurturing and inspiring those within it. My clients are integral to my creative process and are the driving force behind everything I do.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I believe that anything truly valuable requires time, dedication, and hard work. Building a business and managing projects—whether large, complex, or small—comes with its challenges, but the rewards are immense. I embrace these challenges because they offer the greatest opportunities for growth and learning.
Every experience, no matter how difficult, contributes to my development as a professional and strengthens the foundation of my business. It’s through overcoming these obstacles that I’ve been able to refine my skills and ensure the success of my work.

How do you think about luck?
I don’t see success as a matter of luck alone. It’s about putting in the effort and creating your own opportunities. When something happens at the right time or place, it’s often the result of the preparation and hard work you’ve put in. The guidance of mentors and the people I’ve worked with have also been part of my business and personal growth. I believe that in both life and business, we are constantly learning from one another, and you never achieve your goals on your own. Being humble, learning, and collaborating as a team player are crucial. Collaboration and teamwork are essential. In business, as in life, the journey is rarely straightforward. Challenges are inevitable, but it’s through these challenges that we grow and improve. What we often refer to as ‘luck’ is, in many cases, the result of the energy, time, and dedication we’ve invested in our goals.
