Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve been in e-commerce for a decade, and currently run two brands: sundayscaries.com and drinkvibras.com. Sunday Scaries sells legal, hemp-derived CBD & THC gummies online and Vibras sells hydration + energy stick packs.
Sunday Scaries started in 2017, and has been a wild ride. While the products are federally legal under the 2018 farm bill, ad platforms like Facebook, Google and TikTok always shut us down or disallow us.
Vibras started 2 months ago, brand new. Vibras is Spanish for “Vibes” and I created it because I was sick of waking up, rolling out of bed, and going straight to my computer to work on Sunday Scaries. I wanted to optimize for work/life integration versus work/life balance. Luckily I stumbled upon padel, the fastest growing sport in America. It gave me socialization, competition and allowed to me wake up with “high vibrations” in the morning.
I started taking supplements to improve my game, but I noticed hydration brands basically sell overpriced salt in a packet and energy drinks are overstimulating and unhealthy. I wanted to combine the two in a multi-functional powder, where I get the hydration but also an energy and endurance boost… in an all-natural form.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Due to CBD being in this legal “gray area,” we’ve encountered insane obstacles that we’ve needed to overcome. We’ve dealt with rogue manufacturers who have ripped us off, Facebook and Google banning our ad accounts, banks denying us funding, payment processors shutting us down overnight without provocation, and much much more.
We’ve been fighting with one arm tied behind our backs, all because we’re CBD. We’ve also battled other goliath-type institutions like Amazon, which allows the sale of fake CBD products but disallows ours. And the FDA was supposed to classify CBD as a dietary supplement… 3 friggin’ years ago.
There have been many times when I have wanted to throw in the towel and give up.
This has been the greatest challenge of my life, but I always have to remember to zoom out and recognize how much I’ve accomplished, how much our lives have improved with CBD, and why I do what I do.
I know what it’s like to try and go to bed early at night but can’t because negative scenarios run through our heads. I know what it’s like to get overwhelmed at work and wonder, “Why the hell am I stuck in this rat race?”
We do what we do because we want everyone to live confident, fulfilled, and happy lives and not be their own worst enemy. We want everyone to get out of their own heads.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory was when I was 4 years old. My dad was on a step ladder installing a light bulb in the ceiling and he couldn’t reach it. But the step stool was too far away, all he had to do was move it closer underneath the bulb.
I pointed this out to him while he was frustrated, and he just gave me this wide eyed expression of surprise… like “how the hell did my 4 year old just figure that out.
I felt smart and proud, and I know he was proud of me as well.
