Exploring Life & Business with Mariel Lizarzabal of Mariel Lizarzabal MÉTODO MALI

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mariel Lizarzabal.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Although my career began as a lawyer in Venezuela, life had a much different path in store for me. After immigrating to the United States, I discovered my true passion: professional aesthetics. What started as a personal search quickly evolved into a life-changing mission.

In this country, I became certified as a Medical Esthetician and fully immersed myself in the world of skincare, feminine empowerment, and education. With more than 72 certifications in advanced aesthetics, facial and body techniques, I began building my own brand to train and uplift other women.

Today, I am the founder of Mali Academy, and I’ve had the honor of training more than 7,000 students around the world, becoming one of the most recognized international trainers in the field. I have also treated thousands of patients, combining technique, science, and heart in every experience.

My mission is clear: to elevate the future of aesthetics, not only through advanced protocols, but by helping women build confidence, knowledge, and successful businesses. I believe education is a path to freedom, and that aesthetics can be a powerful tool to transform lives, heal stories, and create abundance.

My story is proof that it’s never too late to reinvent yourself. I went from litigating in courtrooms to leading on stages, building educational communities, and creating my own methodology: the MALI Method, designed to elevate knowledge, confidence, and the entrepreneurship of thousands of estheticians.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. My journey has been filled with personal, emotional, and professional challenges. From leaving my country and my career as a lawyer to start from scratch in the United States, to facing moments of financial uncertainty, loneliness, and the reality of being an immigrant in a new country.

When I started in the field of aesthetics, I had to work twice as hard to educate myself, get certified, and build credibility in a highly competitive industry. There were moments when I didn’t have the resources, the connections, or even the clarity — but I always trusted that education and preparation would open doors for me.

I also faced internal challenges: overcoming fear, healing emotional wounds, dealing with imposter syndrome, and rebuilding my self-confidence to become the woman who now leads a community of more than 7,000 estheticians around the world.

Every obstacle became a lesson, and every setback a chance to grow. Thanks to those challenges, today I’m able to teach other women not only advanced aesthetic techniques, but also how to build the mindset and business that allow them to live with purpose, freedom, and abundance.

We’ve been impressed with Mariel Lizarzabal MÉTODO MALI , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is Mali Academy, an international educational platform that trains estheticians in advanced skincare techniques while also empowering them with mindset, emotional intelligence, and business strategy.

We specialize in educating beauty professionals not just in high-level aesthetics, but also in neuroscience-based methods, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), emotional mastery, feminine leadership, and entrepreneurial growth. We believe that a successful esthetician doesn’t just need to know skin — she needs to master her mind, her message, and her money.

I also developed my own professional skincare line, created with vegan, organic, eco-friendly, cruelty-free formulas that deliver visible results while honoring the skin and the planet. These products are designed for professional use in treatment rooms and for clients who value high-performance skincare with conscious ingredients.

What sets us apart is that we are not a traditional beauty school. We are a transformation platform. We don’t just teach techniques — we teach confidence, strategy, communication, branding, sales, and purpose. My mission is to turn estheticians into leaders and entrepreneurs with financial freedom, aligned work, and a deep sense of self-worth.

I am proud to lead a community of more than 7,000 estheticians across the U.S. and Latin America, and to have trained over 5,000 women directly through courses, certifications, mentorship programs, and live events.

My purpose is to elevate and professionalize the esthetics industry and to show women that they can build abundance, impact, and recognition through their passion — without fear, without limits, and without apologizing for wanting more.
