Exploring Life & Business with Margie Mader of Growth and Healing Wellness Center

Today we’d like to introduce you to Margie Mader.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
When I was in 10th grade, I took a psychology class and I got inspired by the way the mind works. I then decided that’s what I wanted to do, help people change their lives by changing the way they see things. I became a therapist at 23, the youngest in my class, graduating with a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.

I was always passionate about personal growth and helping people overcome their obstacles to get to their strengths. Just like I am able to support people in their growth, I am always working on my own growth as well and expanding.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I had to keep my eye on the prize – to not compare myself to other people because I was so young starting out, to not doubt my abilities because my style is different, and to listen to my intuition instead of doing what “everyone does”.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Growth and Healing Wellness Center, LLC?
I specialize in trauma/ abuse, body image issues, and couples.

I lead Goddess Workshops for women to connect to their inner Goddesses and create self-love and fulfillment.

I have a program called High Powered Women Finding Love. It helps women that are successful in all areas of their life but are struggling in relationships to create the relationship of their dreams.

I have a CEO coaching program to help people create exponentially, successful results in business by lining their minds, body, and spirit.

I am very proud that my clients create amazing breakthroughs, and I am able to support them in this. Because I work with clients intuitively, I’m able to help them connect to themselves very quickly and overcome obstacles even quicker. I think this is what makes me different from other therapists/coaches.

Who else deserves credit for your story?
Dr. Bill Tollefson was a very important mentor in my life. He trained me in trauma and techniques that he created, like the Rapid Reduction Technique. This is an innovative technique used for trauma to help people overcome night terrors, flashbacks, and feeling stuck in the past with a traumatic memory.

He believed in me when I was in my twenties starting out and didn’t yet know what I was doing. He gave me a chance to work in his program in the hospital and taught me how to work with clients in a very innovative way. It has colored everything I do today in and out of the therapy room and I will forever be grateful to him for his impact on my life.
