Exploring Life & Business with Lindsey Meeks of End Range Performance & Recovery

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Meeks.

Hi Lindsey, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I originally started my practice in Miami, working more specifically with professional golfers and bridging the gap between physical therapy and performance. It was an awesome introduction to working with high-level athletes and gave me a solid foundation in sports rehab.

I eventually made the move up to Fort Lauderdale and took a job as a physical therapist inside a gym that had a strong MMA/fight background, plus a great community of group fitness and personal training. I was technically an employee, but over time I became really integrated in the space and built strong relationships with the members, trainers, and just felt like part of the fabric there.

When the clinic I worked for decided not to renew their lease inside the gym, it felt like a natural opportunity to step back into that entrepreneurial mindset that I had started to develop in Miami. I already had a strong client base and a lot of support from the gym community, so I decided to take over the space and go all in on my own practice. It was definitely a leap of faith, but it’s turned out to be the best decision I could’ve made. The last 8 months have been full of growth, and I feel really aligned with the work I get to do every day.

Faith is also a big part of my life and my practice. I have been blessed to be surrounded by a community here in Fort Lauderdale that has not only supported me professionally, but has been super encouraging of building me up spiritually as well. It’s been amazing to be in an environment where people are living out their faith, and that’s something I try to carry into how I care for and connect with my clients.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not a smooth road, but it’s been one full of growth, faith, and resilience.

The year leading up to taking over my own practice was one of the most challenging seasons of my life. I had just moved to a new city with high hopes for a new job opportunity, but a few months in, the primary investor pulled out and in that same week my partner and I broke up and they moved out. That left me in a really uncertain place—suddenly without a stable job, newly single, and unsure if I’d be able to keep the home I had just moved into. It was a heavy moment that felt like everything I had built was unraveling all at once.

Looking back, that season forced me to lean in; into my faith in God, into my own abilities, and into the people around me. I kept my head down and quietly worked to build something of my own, even when the path forward wasn’t totally clear. I kept showing up, kept trusting that it would come together, and little by little, it did.

When the opportunity came to fully step into my own practice, I was ready. It felt like everything I had gone through had been preparing me for that exact moment. God showed up in ways I never could’ve imagined; opening doors, providing peace, and reminding me that every setback was actually part of the setup.

I wouldn’t trade the hard parts because they built the foundation I stand on now. I have learned exactly what I am capable of and, I have learned to trust that it all does work out. I think that’s what makes this business so personal for me- because it’s not just about helping people recover physically, it’s about walking through challenges and coming out stronger on the other side.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I run a cash-based physical therapy practice located inside a high-level personal training and group fitness gym in Fort Lauderdale. I work primarily with active individuals; athletes, weightlifters, weekend warriors, and anyone who cares about performance and longevity. I specialize in blending hands-on recovery techniques like dry needling, cupping, and soft tissue work with movement-based rehab and strength training.

What sets my practice apart is the individualized attention and the ability to treat the whole person. Because I operate independently, I’m not bound by insurance or traditional clinic time blocks. That means sessions are longer, more focused, and completely tailored to what each client truly needs that day. I’m able to integrate performance, recovery, and lifestyle coaching all in one space, this helps people get results faster and feel more empowered in their bodies.

I also care deeply about creating a welcoming, down-to-earth environment. An hour with me is going to be a light-hearted break from your day that allows you to feel better, move better, and access a mindset of “training” and “skill-development” that many of us haven’t seen since high school sports. So many people feel overlooked or rushed in healthcare. My goal is to make people feel seen, heard, and cared for every time they walk into my office.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built and the trust people have in my care. Word-of-mouth has been the heart of my growth so far, and that tells me I’m doing something right. My faith plays a big role in how I show up for others. I want clients to feel peace, trust, and hope when they’re working with me, even in the middle of a tough injury or setback.

Whether someone is dealing with chronic pain, rehabbing from injury, or just trying to perform at a higher level, I’m here to help them move better, feel better, and get back to doing what they love.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I think we’re already seeing a major shift in how people view physical therapy. It’s not just something reactive after an injury, but rather a proactive, performance-based tool for movement, recovery, and long-term health. As our culture becomes more focused on wellness, nutrition, and longevity, I think physical therapists, especially those with direct access & orthopedic backgrounds, are going to play an even bigger role in people’s lives.

What many people don’t realize is that today’s physical therapists are doctors in their field. No, it’s not a PhD. A lot of us go on to complete residencies or fellowships after graduating, and we have deep expertise in the musculoskeletal and movement systems. Especially in the cash-based space, you’re seeing a wave of entrepreneurial, creative, and highly motivated professionals who are just as invested in their own health and performance as their clients are. It’s like if the jocks in high school had actually done their homework and were top of their class—PTs aren’t just doing massage and giving out stretch bands anymore. We’re movement experts, strength coaches, pain specialists, and performance strategists all rolled into one.

I also think we’ll see more people moving away from insurance-based models and seeking out providers who can offer individualized care without time constraints. Personally, I would love to see physical therapists being the provider for your “annual physical”. Clients are tired of being treated like a number or getting rushed in and out. They want real relationships, tailored plans, and someone who understands how to bridge the gap between rehab and real life.

The future of PT is holistic, performance-driven, and personal—and I’m really excited to be part of that evolution.
