Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Wolfe
Hi Kelly, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Kelly Wolfe BS, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC and I’m a board certified, licensed family nurse practitioner specializing in medical aesthetics. I’m a graduate of the University of Miami, Missouri State Univeristy, and owner of South Florida Face and Body in Miami Beach, FL. Originally from Colorado, I moved to Florida in 2010 to complete my education and later start my own medical injectables business in 2019.
As a life long health and fitness enthusiast, I have always been active in sports, the gym, and fitness competitions. With 20+ years experience in personal training, my passion for helping others improve their health, longevity and appearance runs deep. Utilizing my background as a trainer as well as a healthcare provider specializing in aesthetics results in the ultimate combination to help patients look, feel and BE better and healthier.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My first bachelors degree was in Biology, which I completed after high school in 2001. Not having found my niche after graduation, I decided to continue my education and obtained a masters degree 2 years later. All throughout college I was a personal trainer and fitness competitor, spending all my free time in the gym or studying nutrition and fitness to help me and my clients. My passion for this industry and helping others then led me to start my own personal training company after college rather than continue in the biological sciences. I lived, ate and breathed fitness and training, but at age 30 I decided to go back to school, this time to purse nursing. Not being able to properly help clients with medical conditions, or understand medications they were on made me realize a huge gap in my education. Fast forward to several years later and another masters degree, this time in nursing, I used the experience as a business owner with my passion for helping others and my newly obtained medical license and opened South Florida Face and Body. Going back to school, especially in an accelerated medical program for several years at age 30 while working full-time was a real challenge!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am the owner/operator of South Florida Face and Body, a boutique-style medical injectables office in Miami Beach, Florida. Treatments offered include Botox, filler, fat dissolving treatments, microneedling and medical weight loss programs. The approach I take with all patients is to restore the younger version of themselves, not to create a different version. The aging process and changes that accompany it is a given for all of us, but with the technology and treatments now available, we can restore areas of bone and collagen loss to hold on to our youth for many years to come.
In addition to anti-aging aesthetic treatments, the newly discovered pathway for weight loss using GLP-1/GIP drugs has been a huge game changer to help patients look and feel better. Older medications for weight loss had severe side effects, unsuitable for most people, and were much less effective. These newer generations drugs make it possible to blunt hunger, reduce blood sugar and minimize cravings, which result in much greater success in weight loss and reduced calorie consumption. South Florida Face and Body coaches each patient through their journey to obtain a desirable body fat percentage and goal weight. The process doesn’t stop after the weight has been lost. A maintenance plan is then implemented to ensure the weight never comes back, the successful habits remain, and the patient is satisfied.
