Hi Kaelyn, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have always had a passion for beauty and working hard for the things I want in life. I started my business back in 2018 when I lived in California. However, it took a lot of practice to perfect my work to where it is now. Starting out I faced challenges like finding the right products, learning how to market myself, and figure out how to get the most out of my business. It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows from the start; it took a lot of time, as well as planning to be where I am today.
Once I made the move to Florida in 2020, while it was a terrifying change, it was worth the challenge. I had more motivation than ever to succeed. I took several new courses to stay up to date and decided to build myself an empire in regards to all things beauty. I am always looking for ways to stay up-to-date and educated on the latest beauty services. I love making people feel comfortable in their own skin, so I wanted to offer it all under one roof. With Kaelyn Cosmetics you can come to me for needless filler, brows, lip blushing, and eyelash extensions.
It doesn’t stop there… not only do I offer beauty services; I also decided to offer digital or in-person courses, which will allow women to be their own boss. I’ve put so much effort into creating the best possible educational courses based off my experiences to get you started in lips, lashes, or brows. I have all the tips and tricks you’ll need to succeed. While starting your own business can seem like a scary journey, it’s the most rewarding thing you can do for yourself. Be in charge of your own schedule, be your own boss.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing it life comes easy, so this business like anything has a learning curve. I had to be patient with myself when I first started because eyelash extensions take incredible precision and attention to detail. There was a lot of trial and error in trying to find the right products, the ones I liked and disliked. The biggest challenge I faced was once I moved and basically starting over, except this time I really knew what I was doing so in that sense it was much easier. I felt confident in my work and the services I offer; it was just scary having to rebuild clientele.

My brand specializes in Eyelash extensions, Needless Lip Filler, Brows & Educational Beauty courses. My brand is all about empowering women, and I couldn’t be more proud of that. I am here to make you feel confidence in your skin and give you what you need to be your own boss. Everyone deserves to feel beautiful and unstoppable. I want everyone who comes through my door leaving feeling better than they did when they initially walked in. If we’re not here as humans to positively change the lives of others, what are we here for?
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My advice would be to stop waiting and don’t let fear hold you back. You’ll never know what’s to come until you try. I believe anyone who would want to get into this line of work should know it takes a lot of effort to start, but it’s so worth it. Being patient and kind to yourself while starting is so incredibly important; you aren’t going to know everything from the start, and that’s ok.
