Hi Jessica, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I wanted to create an organic and alcohol-free bug spray. Around this time, I was also laid-off from my job due to COVID-19. I thought maybe some of my friends would want some essential oil blends or bug spray and I could make a few extra dollars. We live in South Florida and the mosquitos are relentless! This led me to create a few roll-ons and bug repellents with handwritten labels. After posting the choices on Facebook to my friends, my mom told me I needed better labels (good ‘ole mom advise). I realized if I was going to start printing labels, I needed a set line of products so I wasn’t creating 100 different labels all the time. This was the start to my brand!
Today we offer organic and alcohol-free room, linen, and body sprays as well as essential oil blend roll-ons. The sprays are great for small rooms, cleansing, meditation, savasana, and so much more. The roll-ons include wellness rollers for things like headache, sinus and congestion, and immunity support. The other roll-ons are Chakra Balancing Oils with Crystals that are amazing for meditation and overcoming life’s daily obstacles. All of our products are alcohol-free, pure, and certified organic, when possible!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
One of the biggest challenges has been creating the perfect labels! There are so many options and themes to choose from and so much information I want to get across in such a small space. It becomes very difficult! I hand make the labels and print them myself and I really like that each label is unique and exhibits the qualities of that specific product. My goal is to create an experience and an emotion of what the product will bring to the customer simply by looking at the label.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My company offers Scent and Sound to consumers. The scent portion is aromatherapy including organic and alcohol-free room and linen spray as well as wellness roll-ons and chakra balancing oil blends with crystals. The sound part is for my locals, although you can find me on YouTube. I am a Certified Sound Practitioner and use crystal quartz sound bowls and a gong to help people relax and heal the mind and body. Together, scent and sound play a huge role is balancing emotions, chakras, physical ailments, and pain. It is beautiful to watch it all come together and witness so many people choosing to heal and grow.
What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is continuing to learn and then teach others effective ways to deal with stress. Everyone encounters stress at some point and it is important to have the right tools in your toolbox to deal with it when it happens. Practicing relaxation techniques and meditation through aromatherapy and sound healing are a couple of great tools to carry through life that are easy and accessible to almost anyone.
