Exploring Life & Business with Jenny Huertas of CVR Realty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenny Huertas

Hi Jenny, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
“Originally from Colombia, I bring a unique blend of international flair and local expertise to South Florida’s vibrant real estate market. With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, I initially established myself in Miami in 1992, cultivating a strong foundation in the travel industry.

My transition to real estate began in 2004 as a Mortgage Broker, followed by becoming a licensed Real Estate Agent in 2005. I excelled in sales centers, specializing in pre-construction projects. In 2006, I co-founded Condo Vultures Realty, Florida’s pioneering brokerage focused exclusively on buyer representation, leveraging our proprietary database of the South Florida condo market.

In 2011, I took the helm as Qualifying Broker-Owner of CVR Realty, a boutique firm serving Southeast Florida’s coastal and urban core east of I-95. Alongside my expert team, we provide personalized guidance to buyers and sellers, informed by in-depth local knowledge and data-driven insights.

With decades of experience and a proven track record, I’m dedicated to delivering exceptional results and unparalleled customer service.

I also created a Podcast in Spanish for Real Estate since there was little or non information on the process to acquire real estate in Florida to Spanish speakers. the name is ” MIAMERA”

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
“Has it been a smooth road? Absolutely not. Like any entrepreneur, I’ve faced numerous challenges and setbacks. Here are some of the notable struggles I’ve overcome:

Adaptation to a new market: Transitioning from Colombia to Miami in 1992 required adjusting to a new culture and business environment.

Industry disruptions: The 2008 financial crisis and subsequent market fluctuations tested my resilience and adaptability. This obstacle actually created our own business model as buyers brokers.

Competition and innovation: Staying ahead in the competitive South Florida real estate market demanded continuous learning, innovation, and differentiation.

Regulatory changes: Navigating evolving regulations, laws, and industry standards required ongoing education and compliance.

Building and maintaining a team: Attracting, training, and retaining top talent has been an ongoing challenge.

Balancing growth and quality: Expanding CVR Realty while maintaining exceptional customer service and expertise has been a delicate balance.

We’ve been impressed with CVR Realty, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What do I like about Miami? This city transformed in front of my eyes. From a waterfront ,close to the beach town and discounted shopping malls and non existing urban life to a vibrant, multicultural city, in my opinion a “condo” lab that experienced a boom and a bubble in the big way in 2008 and another boom of ultraluxury urban and beach living transforming our city along with museums, modernized Port for Cruises and Cargo, Big name Sport venues and Teams, Opera House, Hosting Art Basel and with all that great restaurants and international flair like no other place in the United States. With many nicknames like ” Magic City” ” The Gateway of the Americas, The Cruise Capital of the world . Miami became a city that can offer anything you want with the best possible weather to enjoy amazing beaches and water sports. Is just beautiful and fun. my favorite part is living in Waterfront Downtown and be able to walk and/or use the mover or metro rail and even the Brightline new train to Orlando, Palm beach and Ft Lauderdale. I also enjoy paddle-boarding and have so many launch places close by. The greater downtown Miami offers the best location to the Art, music, sports, restaurants, museums, parks in only 3 -4 square miles.

What is the least favorite things about my city?
With the fast pace construction and population there are growing pains like traffic congestion, not enough public transportation, over tourism specially in our winter and high living costs. Obviously and because of our incredible geographical location we are also prone to hurricanes.
