Exploring Life & Business with Jennifer Lambert of B & C Family Health Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Lambert.

Hi Jennifer, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always known I wanted to work in medicine. Even as a child, becoming a healthcare provider was the goal. My path wasn’t linear, though.

Early on, I had to pause my education to help support my family during the recession. My parents are entrepreneurs starting their own medical practice back in 2007. I helped my parents as much as I could at their practice as well as working multiple jobs to keep us afloat. When I was finally able to return to school, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Managing school while supporting her emotionally became overwhelming, and I made the difficult decision to step away again.

After my mother went into remission, I started rebuilding. I met my husband Ricardo; we became parents, and when our daughter was 14 months old, I returned to school and earned my Associate Degree in December 2021. Shortly after, I was accepted into West Coast University. Two weeks before starting, I found out I was pregnant again but I decided to continue the program as long as I safely could.

I faced complications during pregnancy, including preeclampsia, and delivered my son early. I returned to class the following week to take four exams and earned As in all of them. That experience reinforced something I already knew about myself; I’m resilient, disciplined, and deeply committed to becoming a nurse.

In 2024, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, which was emotionally challenging given the physical nature of nursing. With treatment and determination, I recovered, and my RA is now in remission. I graduated in October 2024 and soon after had the opportunity to purchase a family health practice, where I now serve patients and lead a healthcare team.

I’m currently completing my Master’s degree, graduating in October 2026, and I’m excited to continue growing as a clinician and leader while providing compassionate, patient-centered care.”

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge strengthened my commitment rather than weakened it.

Early on, I had to pause my education to help support my family financially, which taught me responsibility and time management at a young age. When I returned to school, my mother’s breast cancer diagnosis was emotionally demanding, and I learned how important it is to recognize limits, regroup, and come back with a clearer plan.

Later, I navigated nursing school while pregnant and experienced medical complications that required me to manage my health carefully while staying academically focused. Most recently, being diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis forced me to adapt, prioritize treatment, and learn firsthand what it means to be both a caregiver and a patient.

None of these experiences stopped my progress they shaped how I approach challenges now. I stay organized, seek support early, and remain solution-focused. Those experiences made me more resilient, empathetic, and prepared for the realities of healthcare.

We’ve been impressed with B & C Family Health Group , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
B & C Family Health Group is a primary care practice rooted in preventive medicine, with a strong focus on early detection, education, and long-term wellness. We provide comprehensive care for individuals and families, emphasizing proactive health rather than reactive treatment.

Our services include in-office blood draws and diagnostic screening, allowing us to deliver timely results and create personalized care plans without unnecessary delays. Patient education is a cornerstone of our practice we believe informed patients are empowered patients, and we take the time to explain labs, conditions, and treatment options in a way that is clear and meaningful.

We are also known for our guided weight loss journey, which is approached medically, safely, and holistically. Rather than quick fixes, we focus on sustainable lifestyle changes, metabolic health, and ongoing support tailored to each patient’s needs. This program has become one of our most impactful offerings, helping patients improve not only their weight, but overall health outcomes.

What truly sets B & C Family Health Group apart is our personalized, relationship-based approach. As a nurse-owned practice, care is led by clinical experience and compassion. Patients are not rushed they are listened to, supported, and treated as partners in their health.

Brand-wise, we are most proud of the trust we’ve built within our community and the consistency of care we provide. Our patients value accessibility, continuity, and the fact that they feel genuinely cared for at every visit. What we want readers to know is that B & C Family Health Group is more than a primary care office we are a long-term healthcare partner committed to preventive care, education, and sustainable wellness.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I don’t view my journey as a matter of luck good or bad. I truly believe that everything has unfolded according to God’s plan for my husband and me. That belief has given us clarity, strength, and perspective, especially during challenging seasons.

At the same time, we’ve learned that faith requires action. We work tirelessly, make thoughtful decisions, and lead with integrity in both our personal lives and our business. Every opportunity we’ve been given has come with responsibility to do what’s right, to serve others well, and to be good stewards of the work placed in front of us.

In our practice, that mindset shows up in how we treat patients, staff, and our community. We try to help everyone who crosses our path, whether through quality care, education, or simply taking the time to listen. We feel fortunate, but more than that, we feel called and we take that calling seriously
