Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenna Silva-Rosas.
Hi Jenna, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My path to where I am today was anything but a straight line — and I think that’s what makes it real. I studied Psychology at FIU, which might seem like an unlikely starting point, but it actually shaped how I think about people, messaging, and what moves an audience to act. I spent over 10 years at FIU in roles that always gave me room to be creative, and I had the incredible opportunity to be part of the university’s transition into digital marketing at an institutional level. Watching that shift happen from the inside only deepened my passion and pushed me to pursue my Master’s in Mass Communications with a focus on social media.
From there I made the leap to a small agency, where I grew into the COO role over two years. But the real catalyst for going out on my own was my family. With two little ones five and under, I wanted to build something that gave me the flexibility to show up for my kids while still doing meaningful, high-level work. Silva Social Studio was born from exactly that — at the intersection of strategy, expertise, and a very personal need for freedom. A women-led agency rooted in Miami, built on strategy, and driven by the belief that you do not have to choose between ambition and presence.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not smooth — and I think anyone in the social media industry will relate to this. Early in my career I was managing up to six or seven client accounts simultaneously, and it wasn’t just social media. It was running ads, managing websites, helping structure operations — all at once. There’s this unspoken pressure in this industry that if you’re not doing every single thing, you’re not good enough. Work-life balance was a real struggle, and burnout crept up on me in ways I didn’t see coming.
That experience was actually one of the most important teachers I’ve had. When I built Silva Social Studio, I was intentional from day one about having systems in place that protect both my team and our clients from that cycle. Burnout doesn’t serve anyone.
It also pushed me to get really honest about something that’s a widespread issue in this industry — social media professionals are often undervalued, and that mindset can follow you even when you go out on your own. Learning to charge what my work is actually worth was one of the hardest shifts I had to make. Joining a mentorship program, Lucky Girl Social, was a turning point for me. They helped me see my value clearly and gave me the confidence to align with clients who see it too. What sets Silva Social Studio apart is that boutique, high-touch experience — the kind where clients feel genuinely seen and supported. And we’ve built our pricing intentionally so that small businesses can actually access that level of service without it feeling out of reach.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Silva Social Studio is a boutique social media strategy and management agency based in Miami, and strategy is at the core of everything we do. We are not a content mill — we are a strategic growth partner for service-based businesses who are ready to show up online with intention and consistency.
What sets us apart starts at onboarding. Every client receives a mini branding guideline because we believe that while you may have a logo, branding goes so much deeper than that. Your voice, your tone, your visual identity, the way your audience feels when they land on your page — that is your brand. We build that foundation first, and everything we create flows from it.
We specialize in working with service-based businesses, and the wellness space feels especially like home to me. As someone deeply passionate about women’s health, working with wellness brands is not just professional — it is personal. There is something powerful about helping women-owned businesses grow and get seen.
One of my proudest examples of what we do is our work with Susy’s Soirees, a luxury event planning business here in Miami. Susy already had a thriving business built on word of mouth and exceptional service. When we came in and added a strategic social media presence, it became a tool that amplified everything she had already built. That is what social media should do — it should work for your business, not feel like a chore.
We are also incredibly excited to be working with Redland Cattle Co., Miami’s first-ever farm to table experience. Helping a brand like that build their foundation and grow within the space is exactly why we do this work. Supporting local Miami businesses is something we are deeply passionate about, and being part of their story from the beginning is something we do not take lightly.
At Silva Social Studio, we bring the strategy, the structure, and the heart. And we do it with a boutique, high-touch experience that makes every client feel like a priority.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My biggest piece of advice is to invest in yourself — your education, your mentorship, your mindset. It is the best return on investment you will ever make, and it will show up in the way you serve your clients.
The second thing I would tell anyone starting out is to stop fearing the people in your industry. There is so much noise around competition, but the truth is you are not everyone’s cup of tea — and that is okay, because you are absolutely someone’s. The same goes for everyone else in your space. When you are true to yourself, do right by others, and lead with the best intentions, there is nothing that can stop you.
And do not take the people around you for granted. The ones who have shown up for you, believed in you, and helped you get to where you are — those relationships are everything. Have the tough conversations. Be true to your word. Create a circle built on transparency and trust.
Above all else, always be kind. You never know what someone else is carrying. Kindness costs nothing and means everything, and in my experience it has always come back around.
