Hi Jarling, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It had always been my dream to open my own beauty salon since I grew up in the beauty & fashion industry.
After so many years of friendship with Arlette Azua, who is a chemist and has her own beauty line, we decided to partner up and buy our first beauty salon, PRETTY PLEASE BEAUTY BAR, in Sweetwater, Florida.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Although Arlette and I only started this journey two months ago, it has been a true blessing. We hosted our GRAND OPENING in April, and it was a great success.
However, with every new business, there come some challenges, such as hiring new staff, supply inventory, social media marketing, and new business strategies, but since we have many years of experience in business, we’ve been able to keep our heads up.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At our salon, we are a ONE-STOP SHOP. Like other beauty salons, we provide services such as hair, nails, lashes, eyebrows, and makeup.
However, what makes us unique is that inside our beauty bar, we also have a photography studio where clients can get all dolled up and do a mini photoshoot. We offer sessions for maternity, kids, graduation, real estate, holidays, and much more.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
MIAMI is where Arlette and I grew up. We love everything about our city.
Although Miami has become or may seem overpopulated and saturated in business, that didn’t stop us from making our dream come true. We believe since Miami is known for its tourism & nightlife, businesses like ours thrive.
