Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriela Laverde.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was a sensitive child growing up, I am sure many people relate to this, as children are naturally open and absorb everything around them. I felt waves of emotions that I couldn’t explain: sadness, confusion, and even physical symptoms that seemed to appear out of nowhere. At the time, I didn’t fully understand what they meant or why they were happening.
That was the beginning of a potent curiosity and a deep desire to understand myself and eventually help others create a direct and natural relationship with the mind, body, & soul. At first, I thought this path would lead me through Western medicine. I even considered becoming an MD and spent time volunteering at hospitals in high school. Yet something felt off. Later, I turned to politics, studying it in university, but again, something wasn’t sitting right. What truly resonated with me was my minor in Spirituality & Religious Studies, which opened a new doorway.
A few years later, I traveled to India for the second time and took my first training. I started with Yoga, Meditation, & Ayurveda and this was only the beginning. Through these practices, I started to heal: finding peace with my emotions, reconnecting with my body, and experiencing my soul in ways I had no idea were possible.
From there, my studies expanded into Emotional Biodecoding, Psychosomatics, Reiki, Natural Health, Kundalini Activation, Non Dual Energy Transmission, and much more. Through practice & embodiment, I created a wholesome approach to wellness. This is an approach that honors every layer of a person: mind, body, energy, & soul.
This is the foundation of my signature sessions ‘Somatic Energy Healing & Activation’ and alongside that I offer guidance in Natural Health, Emotional Biodecoding & Psychosomatics, & Spiritual/Life Integration Coaching.
Everyday, I am grateful that I get to contribute to creating a world where we live from authenticity, working with what God & nature has provided us. I love empowering others to heal themselves, to create lives aligned with their true desires, simply by using tools that every human being should have from the very beginning.
This is simple healing. I teach people how to work with their energy, their emotions, their symptoms, and their unique essence, not against them. This creates a sustainable path toward freedom, balance, and wholeness.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. Embarking on an unconventional path never is and alternative or holistic therapy is not really mainstream.
There were a multitude of fears, limiting beliefs, and conditioning that I had to accept and overcome to truly move forward with my passion.
The one thing that I can say was smooth was my inner knowing and that is what fuels me to this day. It is this strong inner knowing that propels me to share my purpose & shape my world around this.
I worked many jobs that I was not happy with, thinking that it was what I had to do to make a living. There are many times when I have questioned my beliefs because people have a hard time believing in energy or natural solutions or I was afraid of feeling judged.
I learned to trust myself and that was not easy. I also learned that not everyone is ready to work from within and that is also okay. It is my purpose to speak to those who want to listen, not impose what I feel is right because everyone has a different truth.
The challenges still appear as my client base grows and I work with different types people. I constantly reinvent myself, refine my approach, and I am always evolving.
We’ve been impressed with Holistic Space, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My work is centered on guiding people into deeper connection with themselves and nature. I specialize in Somatic Energy Healing & Activation, a unique approach I developed that combines energy work, body awareness, and a variety of healing modalities. Alongside that, I offer Natural Health guidance, Psychosomatic Therapy/Emotional Biodecoding, and Spiritual/Life Integration Coaching.
What sets my work my work apart is that it’s not just one modality and does not focus on just one part of you. I work with all parts of you because this honors your uniqueness and wholeness. I empower others by showing them how to understand their energy, emotions, symptoms, & soul in a positive and sustainable way. It’s about working with yourself, not against yourself. In this way you can work with the world as well, not against it.
I am known for holding a grounded yet deeply spiritual practice where people feel safe and guided to release, transform, and reconnect with who they truly are. My clients leave the sessions feeling lighter, empowered, with clarity and a renewed sense of love and understanding for themselves, life, and others.
My work is rooted in authenticity because that is what we all need more of. We do not need to wear masks. That is what fragments us and keeps our energy stagnant. I offer clients a direct experience in our sessions. It is experiences that impact us at a deeper level, not only concepts. Overall my brand reflects simplicity because things do not need to be complex. I offer an approach that is natural, accessible, and deeply human.
This work is for anyone that feels the call to live authentically, to work with your true self, and a create a life of freedom, creativity, and aliveness.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is to work with what arises in life rather than trying to fix or override it. When we meet ourselves and others with curiosity and compassion, transformation naturally unfolds.
When I say “listen to your body” or “listen to your emotions,” it doesn’t mean to blindly obey them. It means to become curious. Emotions are messengers, sometimes they speak from the past, sometimes from the present. One of my favorite ways to inquire is by asking: “Is this coming from love, or from fear?”
The biggest lesson has been to embody this teaching of creating space, to pause, to listen, to understand so that we can live from awareness rather than reaction.
