Today we’d like to introduce you to Enrique Massuet.
Hi Enrique, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born in Cuba and grew up under a communist dictatorial regime, where dreaming big wasn’t encouraged but punished. At 16, I immigrated to the United States with my parents, carrying nothing but a couple of suitcases and a lot of hope. I didn’t speak the language, and every day felt like an uphill climb. I worked wherever I could – washing cars, flipping burgers, stocking overnight shifts, parking cars, even knocking on doors selling anything I could (internet, cell phone plans, Solar panels, water filters, etc). I would come home exhausted after midnight, but every day I prayed for strength and reminded myself: I was building a better future.
At 19, I became a licensed insurance agent. I was just a kid in a tie with more drive than experience, but I fell in love with helping families protect what mattered the most and guiding them toward building a safe future. At 20, I became a father. Holding my child for the first time was the most beautiful and terrifying moment of my life. It gave me a new purpose in life. I need to deliver a better society to him. That moment lit a fire in me – it wasn’t just about me anymore; it was about creating a future where he could grow up safe.
In my early twenties, I tried starting countless businesses that didn’t work out. They taught me hard but important lessons: humility, resilience, and the courage to try again. In 2020, at 22, I co-founded Every Benefits Corp with two partners who became like family. We started at kitchen tables with a vision: make insurance easier for families, especially for the Hispanic community. We worked around the clock, and that vision grew into something bigger than I could have imagined. Today, Every Benefits serves more than 500,000 clients across the country, supports over 700 agents, and has more than 60 sub-agencies. We also became partners with New Health Partners, one of the nation’s largest Medicare and ACA organizations with more than 15,000 agents – a milestone that placed us among the leaders in the industry.
In 2021, at 23, I helped build New Health MD, a multi-state medical network. The mission was to close the gap between insurance and actual healthcare, making sure people didn’t just have a card in their wallet but real access to doctors and clinics. That experience expanded my vision from financial protection to community health.
Fast forward to 2025: at 27, I co-founded D Insurance Group, the new baby. This independent property and casualty agency focuses on general lines insurance – auto, homeowners, renters, liability, and business insurance. We already have two offices, a team of 10+ producers, and a direct-to-consumer model designed to make insurance simpler, faster, and more transparent. In many ways, it feels like I’ve come full circle – from knocking on doors as a teenager to now leading a team that’s modernizing how families and businesses get protected.
Through all of this, my faith, my family, and my values have been my anchor. A brotherhood I belong to has taught me integrity, service, and the importance of lifting others as I climb. My faith in God is my foundation – it kept me grounded in failure and humble in success. My family is my greatest inspiration, and I want to be both the pride of my parents and a hero to my child.
I know what it feels like to be the underdog, the newcomer, the one scratching for every opportunity. That’s why I’m passionate about helping others, especially in the Hispanic community. Whether it’s guiding a business owner to mitigate risk and protect assets, a family to save on the premium of their car and home insurance while having the proper protection to protect their future, a senior through medicare and final expenses in Spanish or mentoring a young agent who reminds me of myself at 19, I see it as my responsibility to serve.
Looking back – from being a 16-year-old immigrant washing cars to a 27-year-old entrepreneur co-running multiple companies – I feel nothing but gratitude. The road was not easy, but every challenge and test God put on my path, shaped me into who I am today. My story is still being written, and I hope it inspires others to believe that with faith, perseverance, and courage, anything is possible.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has been anything but smooth. When I first arrived in the U.S. at 16, I didn’t speak the language and had to take on multiple jobs just to survive — car washes, fast food, overnight freight shifts, valet, and door-to-door sales. There were nights I came home exhausted, but I reminded myself that every sacrifice was shaping me for something greater.
Balancing school, fatherhood, and entrepreneurship in a society full of noise has been one of my greatest struggles. Becoming a father at 20 forced me to grow up quickly. I had to learn how to provide, lead, and sacrifice without letting go of my dreams. Many times I felt stretched thin, but my faith in God carried me through, reminding me that every hardship had a purpose.
On top of it all, Miami is a ferocious market. The competition is relentless, the pace never slows, and opportunities don’t wait for you — you have to fight for them. But I believe adversity is the fire that refines us. Every obstacle has shaped me into the person I am today: more resilient, more grateful, and more determined to create a better society for my son and for the community I serve.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Every Benefits and D Insurance Group ?
Every Benefits was born out of a simple truth: too many insurance agents were entering the industry unprepared, misled, or stuck under shady compensation systems. We built Every Benefits to change that — to educate, empower, and give real opportunities to people who wanted to build a career in health and life insurance. We turned what was once a confusing, closed system into a platform of growth, training, and transparency. Today, agents who start with us don’t just learn to sell insurance — they learn to serve their communities with dignity and knowledge.
D Insurance Group was created with the same heart, but this time for the consumer. Too many families and business owners were paying broker fees, buying overpriced policies, or carrying coverage they didn’t even need — while leaving critical parts of their lives unprotected. We’re here to disrupt that. We educate our clients on every spectrum of coverage — personal and business — and make sure they get exactly what they need, no more and no less, always at a fair price. No broker fees. No unnecessary add-ons. Just honest protection for every corner of life that matters.
What sets us apart is that this is not just business. It’s a mission. We are fighting for informing the agent and educating the consumer. We are breaking cycles of misinformation and abuse in the industry. And by doing so, we are building something bigger than policies and premiums — we are building trust, opportunity, and a stronger community for the future.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
God’s perfect plan always unfolds in his time. It is never about my will but His. Nothing in life really happens to you, everything, even when you think there is nothing left in the situation for you, it really happened for you at the end.
