Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Richard Rosado.
Hi Dr. Richard, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I like to joke that my chiropractic journey began long before I ever stepped foot in a clinic, it actually started in my parents living room.
Growing up in a somewhat holistic household, my parents had a unique approach to managing my very noticeable hyperactivity. While other kids were given medication for their hyperactivity, I was enrolled in Tai Chi and meditation classes. Picture a hyper kid trying to hold a slow, graceful pose. Spoiler: it didn’t look graceful. But it did plant the seeds for my love of natural health.
Fast forward to my early 20s, I knew I wanted a career in healthcare, but I hadn’t yet found my lane. Then came a CrossFit injury that knocked me onto a chiropractor’s table. I didn’t know much about chiropractic at the time, but the doctor took a moment to explain the simplicity and elegance behind it. Something clicked.
I’d always believed that “the power that made the body can heal the body,” but I had no idea that this happened through the nervous system. That moment changed everything.
I enrolled in chiropractic school and on day one of orientation, I met my wife, Dr. Sherry Rosado. We knew instantly that it was meant to be. We got married halfway through the program and, 11 years later, we’re still thriving personally and professionally.
After graduating, we launched our first baby, New Leaf Chiropractic. Opening in June 2015 was its own adventure, a challenging search for a bank that was willing to invest in two young docs with a big dream. But we persisted. And a decade later, New Leaf has grown into one of the largest chiropractic facilities in Florida, serving nearly 700 patient visits per week.
Along the way, we developed our own proprietary system, the N3 Protocol, designed to go beyond masking pain.
Here’s our philosophy:
• Align: Corrective chiropractic to bring structure back into integrity.
• Repair: Tissue regeneration to resolve soft-tissue damage.
• Restore: Spinal decompression to help rejuvenate discs and protect long-term function.
When you correct structure, repair damage, and restore stability, the body finally gets to do what it was designed to do, heal.
We’re a family wellness clinic at heart. That means we see everyone, newborns to grandparents and we’re passionate about helping families stay healthy naturally, not through endless cycles of sick care.
Our guiding principles are simple:
• Clarity — Educate, empower, and demystify health.
• Compassion — Treat every patient like family.
• Quality Care — Deliver world-class service with cutting edge results.
And our mission?
To help families live healthier, happier lives by optimizing the one thing that controls everything: the nervous system.
Our vision is a thriving community where people seek wellness care because they love feeling great, not because they’re trying to patch up pain.
If our story proves anything, it’s this,
When you follow your purpose, stay rooted in service, and refuse to settle for ordinary, you can help people transform their lives one alignment at a time.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not smooth. When Sherry and I started New Leaf right after graduation, we had the vision but not the money. Banks kept turning us down because we were young, had no assets, and wanted to open a chiropractic office from scratch. It was discouraging. We were literally counting every dollar, trying to figure out how to buy equipment, pay rent, and still keep the lights on.
When we finally found a small bank willing to give us a chance, we opened our doors and the struggles didn’t magically disappear. In the early days, we did everything ourselves, front desk, adjusting, cleaning, billing because we couldn’t afford a team yet. There were slow days where we questioned if anyone would show up, and nights where we asked ourselves if we made the right decision.
But every challenge forced us to grow. It taught us how to hustle, serve with heart, and stay focused on our mission. Looking back, the struggle wasn’t a setback it was the foundation. Those hard days made us who we are and made New Leaf what it is today.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about New Leaf Chiropractic?
At New Leaf Chiropractic, we’re not your typical chiropractic office, we’re a high volume family wellness clinic focused on getting to the root cause of people’s health concerns, not just managing symptoms. Over the last decade, we’ve grown into one of the largest chiropractic facilities in Florida, now serving nearly 700 patient visits per week.
What truly sets us apart is our proprietary N3 Protocol, a system we developed to address the three be major components of dysfunction:
1. Align – Corrective chiropractic care to restore structural integrity
2. Repair – Tissue Regeneration to heal damaged soft tissue
3. Restore – Spinal decompression to rejuvenate and protect the discs
This three-part process allows us to help patients get lasting results, not temporary relief.
We care for the whole family, kids, adults, athletes, pregnant moms, and seniors and we’re known for creating a warm, uplifting environment where people actually look forward to coming in.
Brand wise, I’m most proud of the consistency.
From our patient experience to our systems, team culture, and even our aesthetic, the New Leaf brand is built around clarity, compassion, and quality care. We want every person to feel cared for, educated, and empowered from the moment they walk through our doors.
If readers remember one thing about us, let it be this, Your body is designed to heal. Our job is to remove the interference, support the system, and guide you back to your fullest potential naturally.
That’s the New Leaf Difference.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I see risk as a necessary part of growth. New Leaf Chiropractic was built on a huge risk, opening a practice right out of school with student loans, hardly any money, and banks that didn’t believe in us. Signing that first lease and taking out a loan with no guarantee of success felt like jumping off a cliff.
But every major step since expanding, hiring, investing in new technology, has required the same willingness to bet on our mission. I’m not reckless, but I am willing to take calculated risks when they align with helping more people.
In my experience, the biggest breakthroughs always come on the other side of the moments that feel uncomfortable.
