Hi Deidre and Khambria, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
For as long as we could remember we always had a love for fashion. Styling and picking out pieces, multiple trips to the mall, and keeping up with the latest fashion trends. It was like this career was meant to be for us. Growing up, we always told ourselves we were going to have a boutique one day and we meant it!
We were both mentally drained from working tireless hours at meaningless jobs that did nothing for us so when my Mom found herself fired from her position of over ten years, we vowed to never find ourselves in a position of doing something we hated again. From that pain and struggle on March 17th, 2017 Boutique Sales Chic was born.
Fast forward four and a half years this Mother/ Daughter duo has been bringing the Chic to closets nationwide and still going strong.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This road has been anything but smooth and has been paved with its fair share of disappointments. Some of the struggles that come to mind are connecting on a professional level with manufacturers, being taken seriously by an industry known to make it hard for black women, and being forced to play small when we know big things are in our future.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Our business is Boutique Sales Chic and we offer quality women’s Fashions, Shoes, and Accessories for the everyday woman. What we want our audience to know is that besides the fashion, shoes, and accessories, the thing we are most proud of is that we sell confidence. Our pieces are for the woman that’s building an empire, going after her goals, definitely on the come up, and not letting anything or anyone stand in her way. We want our customers to know that we are doing it and they can do it too.
There are millions of fashion boutiques but what sets up apart is our commitment to quality, our vast range of fashionable styles and sizes, and our ability to make our Chic Chics feel like “That Girl”. PERIOD!
The thing that makes us most proud is the fact that we are on this journey together as a Mother/ Daughter Boss Duo and doing it our way. We are also extremely proud of the fact that we are body positive and try to instill in our customers that all bodies no matter shape nor size should be celebrated.
To everyone reading this article, we want you to know that you can have a successful fashion boutique, you can have a career that you love investing in daily, and you too can make your childhood dreams a reality.

Our business currently resides in the city of Plantation and what we like most is that it’s a melting pot of people and the fashion opportunities are endless. What we like least is that we don’t see more black women being represented in this industry.
