Today, we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Montreuil.
Danielle, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Danielle Montreuil; I am the Founder of MM Culture Group, we are a fine dining social club that hosts experiential dining events for our VIP clients and partners. I launched MM Culture Group at the end of 2020 to bring valuable connections to like-minded individuals in our intimate but spacious loft space featuring a curated chef’s menu and crafted cocktails. We started hosting these private events for the local entrepreneurs and business owners around our location. They started hiring us to curate their private corporate dinners and exclusive events.
My career started in NYC in 2009 when I became a Fashion Designer and Creative Director for my womenswear brand. I had the opportunity to learn the art of Public Relations, Digital Marketing, specifically designing e-commerce at the time (before Shopify), to support and promote my business. During a time when social media wasn’t as popular as it is now, you had to rely A LOT on relationship building, the importance of branding, and getting creative with how you promote yourself. I went to work for a creative branding agency that represented clients like Marc Jacobs, BVLGARI Hotel, Tom Ford, DKNY, Diane Von Furstenburg, Alexander Wang, and more, where I learned how to specialize in luxury branding, which included but was not limited to, building a fashion company from scratch to website and campaign design to Public Relations.
Fast forward to today, I’ve taken all of the experiences from my previous endeavors to build and operate MM Culture Group with so much intention that it has been my most fulfilling business.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely NOT! The road has been anything but smooth! However, the challenges taught me that there’s always room for improvement and another opportunity to learn and get it right.
As an entrepreneur, I am not afraid to fail and will start over as many times as possible until I finally have success in what I am doing. I have started projects and businesses that have failed, making me wiser, more ambitious, and more cautious when making decisions.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about MM Culture Group?
MM Culture Group was launched at the end of 2020 to bring valuable connections to like-minded individuals in our intimate but spacious loft space featuring a curated chef’s menu and crafted cocktails. We started hosting these private events for the local entrepreneurs and business owners around our location. They started hiring us to curate their private corporate dinners and exclusive events.
Over the last few years, we’ve conceptualized and created signature events that are inspired by the type of audience that we serve, for example, our “Whiskey & Cigar,” “Art & Gastronomy,” “Luxury Handbag, Yacht & Gastronomy” events have gained the interest of a niche audience who appreciates exclusivity, elegance, gastronomy, and valuable relationships. We have successfully activated our concept in some major cities like Miami, Boston, New York City, The Hamptons, and Los Angeles. We aim to be the conduit for quality relationships with valuable individuals and businesses/brands globally.
Since we’ve launched, I’ve noticed a lot of new companies try to launch social clubs, memberships and host “networking” events, the difference between them and MM Culture Group is that we are invite only, we thoroughly research our audience so that the atmosphere is intimate and valuable.
We do not throw parties; therefore, you won’t see a DJ at our events. We vet the venue, chefs, and guests and think about the details that most people don’t think about because we are not trying to fulfill a quota — we are building an intentional hub of quality individuals who can connect through our events and directory. In addition, we have different departments that provide services like Public Relations, Event Planning/Activations, Brand Consulting, and Web Design that support businesses/individuals in art, interior design, fashion, food & beverage, and real estate.
What I am most proud of regarding this company are the businesses and people we’ve helped and the feeling we’ve left our guests with after attending one of our events.
Any big plans?
We have plans on expanding globally and continuing to grow meaningful partnerships while continuing to elevate our experiential dining events.
