Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I starting my own interior design company was both exciting and intimidating. As a single mother with no formal business background but a wealth of design experience, I was determined to show my child—and myself—that anything is possible with hard work and dedication.
I was fortunate to work under incredible bosses who taught me the importance of exceptional customer service and how to run a successful business. Inspired by their example, I decided to take the plunge and start Verday Design Studio.
While working for another studio, I received offers from friends and clients who believed in my vision. This was the nudge I needed to begin my own journey. Starting with just one client, I slowly grew my business through referrals, and every day I am grateful for the growth and success we’ve achieved.
As I’ve developed my business, I’ve also become increasingly passionate about eco-friendly design. My goal now is to blend beautiful, functional interiors with sustainable practices that reflect my commitment to both my clients and the environment.
I am thrilled to continue this journey, creating spaces that are both stunning and environmentally responsible.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of the biggest challenges I faced was getting clients. Initially, I would take on anyone, but I soon realized the importance of being selective. Just as clients interview me, I needed to interview them to ensure we were a good match. Finding the right clients is crucial for my business; 20% of my best clients generated 80% of my business, while others were often time-consuming or not easy to work with. This realization led me to focus my marketing efforts on a specific audience, which significantly grew my business.
Another important lesson was the need to continuously update how I run my business. After every project, I analyze what worked well and what didn’t, making necessary adjustments. This constant evaluation and improvement streamline my process, making it easier and smoother for both me and my clients. Learning through experience has been invaluable.
Looking back, nothing was easy. It only became smooth through continuous improvement after each project and a commitment to always enhancing my process.

More About Us:
We go above and beyond for our clients from start to finish, constantly improving and upgrading to be better. One unique aspect of our service is our design presentation. We create a custom box for every room that represents a space we design so clients can easily visualize each space. Each box comes with 3D renderings, real samples of all finishes, fabrics, and anything else needed. The look on our clients’ faces when they see our presentation is priceless. The unexpected thrill of seeing the renderings and the exact sample fills the room with joy and excitement. When clients see how the design will look and feel, it brings happiness and smiles and we love that!

I believe luck has brought me both good and bad experiences, allowing me to learn what to do and what to avoid. Each moment has provided valuable lessons that helped shape my approach to personal and business life. It’s about taking the right examples from both and using them to grow and succeed.
