Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Baker
Hi Chris, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started with a camera in my hand and a passion for capturing moments, but little knowledge of film production. When I met Momo, I was inspired by his artistic approach, seeing the care he took to make each scene a masterpiece. Momo’s love for painting drives his cinematography, and his vision transformed my understanding of storytelling through film. Three years ago, Momo taught me Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop, and I continued to expand my skills by learning Adobe Illustrator and After Effects. My goal has always been to give back through an Energy Healing nonprofit, and I keep that spirit alive by fostering a safe and honest environment in every project we take on at Visuals by Momo. This approach lets each story reach its fullest emotional depth, making every completed video feel personal, powerful, and impactful.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We knew early on that many nonprofits operate with limited budgets, but what we hadn’t anticipated were the challenges nonprofits face with video marketing itself. Video marketing is still relatively new for many nonprofits, and we’re committed to helping them navigate it. We aim to address this gap by offering workshops and classes to educate nonprofits on video’s power to reach donors and volunteers. During COVID-19, video consumption soared, and for-profit businesses could invest more in video marketing, but most nonprofits couldn’t. Now, our mission is to help them gain visibility and deliver their message more effectively within their communities.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Visuals by Momo LLC?
At Visuals by Momo, we focus on documentary-style storytelling, helping nonprofits connect deeply with their audiences. We specialize in highlighting the full journey of an organization, including the struggles and triumphs that resonate with people. It’s the heart behind our work that makes us unique – while many companies focus solely on profit, we prioritize building up the nonprofit sector. Momo’s artistic vision truly shapes every project, seeing the story in his mind before we’ve even met with the client. This vision is the foundation of every project, allowing us to capture and amplify the soul of each nonprofit’s mission.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
So many people deserve credit for the success of Visuals by Momo. Momo’s mentorship has been invaluable, sharing not just technical skills but also his creative approach and his passion for storytelling. I’m grateful as well to the for-profit partners who have helped us make our work more accessible to nonprofits, including Justin Romano from Bayview Payroll Solutions, Jared Brown from Brown Legal PLLC, Josh Fertel from J3RCM Medical Billing and many more. Our clients and collaborators have also been amazing supporters, constantly inspiring us to keep pushing the limits of what we can achieve together.
