Today we’d like to introduce you to Camila Gusmao.
Camila, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am a well rounded professional who has lived all over the world, experiencing a variety of aesthetics and cultures that enable me to work with clients of varied backgrounds and tastes.
I was born in Brazil to a Chilean mother and American father, I am naturally creative and a problem solver. For years, I used my design education and background to execute large and small-scale projects for my family and friends. As Decorating Den Interiors owner now for several year, I am able to make my passion profitable.
I have a fashion design degree, a master’s in Design and Luxury Brand Management from Istituto Marangoni in Milan and am a Certified Sustainable Designer by the University of Central St. Martin in London.
I offer full-service interior design and have a direct relationship with 135 suppliers in our LIVV Home Collection™ of fine furniture, custom window treatments, wall and floor coverings, accessories, lighting and even closet systems. I thrive on working with people and especially enjoy designing children’s rooms, family rooms and spaces for families to make memories in.
I live in Broward county with my husband, Diego, and two children. I am an active member of the community as part of my Church and School PTO , and Luxury networking groups.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The most challenging part of working in South Florida is finding like minded partner in contracting and retail, who value and respect the client’s time. After years of careful selection , we are proud to say we are only as good as our team.
