Daily Inspiration: Miami Body Space

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dorjana Vasiljevic.

Dorjana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
We are Dorjana Vasiljevic and Oscar Dellet. I am originally from Serbia, and my husband is from Cuba, though he spent the last 20 years living in Miami. We are married and currently building a life together in the United States.

I earned my degree in Public Relations in Serbia, but in 2015, I made the bold decision to move to the U.S. and start from scratch. I was ready for an adventure, but I wasn’t prepared to be separated from my family for the next ten years. Life, however, had other plans for me.

Soon after moving, I met my husband. Since then, he has supported every vision I’ve had. He believed in my talent, encouraged me to pursue my dreams, and pushed me to start my own small business. I began a career as a medical aesthetician and lash artist—not something I had initially imagined for myself, but somehow, I discovered a natural talent for it. Over the past five years, I’ve built a loyal client base of over 700 people. I am incredibly grateful for each and every one of them.

Still, I’ve always dreamed of something more—something authentic that could bring real change to the wellness and fitness industry in the U.S.

Oscar is an artist, a musician, and a true fitness enthusiast. He is the most disciplined person I have ever met. His passion for music runs deep, especially for classical and romantic love songs, although he’s been disheartened by what’s popular in today’s music scene. His love for fitness inspired me to explore that world more seriously, and it sparked a new vision for our future.

Together, we want to create something meaningful—a brand that blends our passions for wellness, creativity, and authenticity. We believe we can offer something truly unique to the market, and we’re excited for what lies ahead.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was a road with a lot of obsticals, but we strongly believed in our project and how perfectly fits into this market and gives purpose to people who got discouraged about loosing weight in a traditional workout or athletic people who needed fast fat burning such as bodybuilders (preparing for their competition) or simply athletes or random people who are not able to run after knee injury-with our workouts now they can have the same impact on their shredding with just simple 30mins walk(backed up with 2 main technologies). Last year was one of the most difficult years our life, I (Dorjana) had major loss in my family and many unwanted situations. Yet we still kept our spirits up and were able to open Miami Body Space. A year behind was crucial on that. I have (Dorjana) decided to hire a Bussines mentor to help me polish the idea I had -who guided me through all steps, teaching me what being a business owner really means and giving purpose to my idea. Thanks to my mentor Dragan Vlah and my husband’s full support, skills and knowledge about fitness, we created something very authentic and we officially opened the doors of Miami Body Space on April 5th. We had many nights without sleep, while my husband was working on getting the paperwork, licenses and organizing the construction work, I was working on creating a brand and strategy to make it functional and authentic. Together, we created a synergy that is unique and that as for now functions perfectly.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Dorjana got her bachelor degree in Public Relations- back in Serbia . She never understood why she choose that career until she arrived to US – and communication became her strength.
After arriving in US, she decided to go with Aestetician and Cosmetic Laser Technician career, later opening her own practice where she built a book of clients thanks to her commitment and communication skills (over 700 in a short practice of 5 years .)She ran a lash and Esthetic studio in Miami.
Oscar is passionate artist and piano player. He is also a gym lover who never misses a day of training. Even if he needs to wake up at 4:30 am. For many years he has shown his warm heart working with autistic kids. What sets us apart from others is that we are multicultural couple, each of us brings different experiences and perspectives in a sense of how we see our Bussines. We are complementing each other and we are making a great team, starting from that that we are capable to speak and understand English,S panish and Serbian languages. Our clientele feels welcomed no matter where they are coming from, Romania, Chile or Chicago.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Dorjana- My favorite childhood memory (and only one I remember with him) was a memory of me and my deceased father holding hands and going out to our small town’s ice cream place getting “green” ice cream “ each . That memory left a deep mark of me feeling grounded ,safe and truly grateful to have him in my life for at least 3years of my existence. It always reminds me to stay humble and never forget my identity.

Oscar – my favorite childhood memory was a memory of our family trips from a small city in Cuba to an ocean city. I always loved ocean . I didn’t grow up so close to it but I always dreamed of having a house on the beach where I can listen to the waves, write my songs and have my loved ones around me . Thank God , I live across the beach today , surrounded by people I love .
