Daily Inspiration: Meet Yulissa Ocasio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yulissa Ocasio.

Hi Yulissa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Since I was a teenager, I had a passion for photography.

I would take as many pictures as possible to keep memories alive and to get to know people. It was my way of speaking from the heart, I always got bullied at a younger age and even now I struggle to make friends until I found my passion for photography.

It was not until my early 30s that I received my first full-frame professional camera and decided to take a leap of hope into finally growing my business. With amazing collaborators, family, practice, and all those clients who have trusted my work, I have become who I am today.

I couldn’t be where I am today without all the genuine support. I try my best to deliver quality and a great time while working with each client. I believe 100% that we will make an amazing heartfelt memory or I will give your money back.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road at all, I’ve had to self-taught myself to use editing programs, pay for gear, and do many free photo shoots. Is it all worth it?

Oh yes, 100% it has been the only way I have gotten where I am today. Sacrifice hours of my days to edit and be the best version I could be for each client.

I’ve had clients ask me to photoshop the way they look and I have to ensure them that they look amazing, but I also take it as a challenge and continue to learn to give, clients what they want!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I love to create a unique experience for each one of my clients! I take all types of pictures but specialize in boudoir photography. It’s a passion to share a human body in all shapes and forms.

I would say I am known for making my clients feel comfortable around me whether in a family setting to a naked session.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I have a big heart and love my clients so much that I work with anyone’s budget.

I quote them my price and if they’re not able to pay for it I work with their budget. I strongly believe in word of mouth and I am here to help and grow as much as possible.

Pricing:

• $150 an hour all Images edited
• $100 for 30 minutes all images edited
• $100 special mini sessions 15 minutes 10 images
