Daily Inspiration: Meet Wildine Aumoithe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wildine Aumoithe

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hi! My name is Wildine Aumoithe. I am 21 years old born and raised in Miami, Florida. I was born with a rare form of dwarfism called SADDAN dysplasia. Which stunts my growth to be 2’4. Because of my height it has led me to be a 2x Guinness World Record Holder. The two titles I hold with Guinness World Records are Shortest Woman Nonmobile and Shortest Professional Model. I am also the first Haitian- American to receive these records.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Living as a little person hasn’t always been easy but I always managed to push through and keep going. I would say one of the struggles I dealt with growing up is dealing with people in public. People would always be like “Why are you short, why are you this and that”. My answer would be I’m just a little person. Another struggle would be I was born in a world that wasn’t built for me. This world was built for average sized people and not little people so most of time I would have to accommodate myself adapting into this world.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am currently a third year graphic design student at Liberty University. I am also a part-time content creator so I work with various of beauty brands and create content on my social media platforms. I am definitely proud of becoming the first Haitian-American to obtain two Guinness World Records. It feels great to shed Haiti in positive light. Another moment I am proud of is that Last September I got the chance to model in New York Fashion Week in the Runway of Dreams : A Fashion Revolution NYFW 2023. I would say I’m definitely known for being a fashion and beauty girly and breaking barriers. Being a little person definitely sets me apart from others.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I would say I had an amazing childhood the only difference is that because of my dwarfism I was always in and out of the hospital but I still did things kids would do growing up. My personality is definitely a bubbly personality.
