Daily Inspiration: Meet Victor Jackson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Victor Jackson.

Victor, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
As a kid, I always was interested in art and entertainment. Every day, I would draw, write and watch behind the scene’s videos on DVD movies. So entertainment, in general, has been with me forever. I first started my group with a bunch of friends called Universes Collide on Youtube/Facebook.

From there, we gained 18,000 members who fell in love with our videos. Although our group broke up, I continued to make videos on TikTok. My sister Kiki and I made a video that reached 200,000 views and grew from a video called spaghetti. That alone gave us 7,000 now, currently at 14,000 followers within a few months.

I also met my friend Gerald/the film director, who gave one of my movie scripts a chance; he is an inspiration and a great role model to me. We are working real hard on many projects, including my manga (Project Bruja).

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As a child, I was almost signed by many talented agencies and connections in Hollywood. As you know, a business can sometimes go south. But that never stopped me.

I kept grinding and found success on Facebook and Amino’s app, where I was growing somewhat popular. All to the point, that people were recognizing me in real life. The struggle in my early life was a bit challenging.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Basically, I am a writer/entertainer.

Like I said, I was given a big break thanks to my friend Gerald Lee, who is a great Hollywood director. Also, I am an artist who is working on my manga (Project Bruja). I have been working on multiple projects on our social media videos page too. I am most proud of my project with Gerald (Project Orange).

It was a fun experience and look forward to keeping working with Gerald in the future.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Playing Kingdom Hearts back in 2002.

One of the most amazing experiences of my life and going to the biggest movie theater in New York to see Disney Atlantis. It blew my mind and made me fall in love with filmmaking.
