Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica Miranda
Hi Veronica, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My career began with a passion for storytelling through visuals, which led me to the challenging world of 3D animation. I worked as a television 3D animator, mastering the intricacies of motion and design. Learning 3D animation was no easy feat—it required me to explore every facet of design, from textures to lighting and composition. Though challenging, this foundation proved invaluable as I transitioned into broader creative roles.
In 2007, I joined NBC Miami as a motion graphics animator and art director. Over the next three years, I honed my craft, creating visually compelling imagery for broadcast audiences. This period solidified my expertise in motion graphics and brand design. It also introduced me to the fast-paced world of media production and brand strategy.
As my work began gaining attention, I embraced the freedom of freelancing, working as an art director with renowned global brands such as Sephora Paris, Pitbull (Mr. Worldwide), the NFL, NHL, The Maury Show, Investigation Discovery, and Philosophy. These experiences broadened my perspective on brand strategy, taught me the art of storytelling on a global scale, and allowed me to collaborate with diverse teams across industries.
In 2016, I took on the role of Creative Director for a beauty product manufacturer. Over four years, I helped shape their visual identity and creative vision. However, the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 brought unexpected challenges, including being laid off.
Rather than go into a full-blown panic, I used the opportunity to redefine my career. I decided to dedicate my time to building a marketing agency from scratch. This time of reflection and focused effort paid off, and now, four years later, my agency is thriving—a testament to resilience, creativity, and the power of embracing change.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Hahaha! Not even a little. Building a successful business can mean isolation and stress, as the pressure to succeed, constant problem-solving, and the responsibility of managing every aspect of the business can feel overwhelming, leaving little room for self-care or work-life balance.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Although I will dive into any project, I mostly specialize in crafting beautiful and engaging brands through design, digital experiences, and social media. I’m best known for pushing boundaries and finding creative solutions to challenging problems. A standout moment in my career was creating an animated and live-action video for Sephora Paris to internally launch a bubble bath line. I took a bold approach by beat-matching the video and animation to music—a challenging feat at the time due to slower computer processing speeds. Despite the difficulty, my hard work paid off! The team loved it so much that they showcased the film on a two-story screen in their flagship store in Avenue Champs-Élysées. Later, It became the creative brief for subsequent animated campaigns for other products. I feel that what truly sets me apart is my relentless determination—I simply refuse to fail, no matter the challenge.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I love most about Miami and South Florida is its vibrant cultural diversity. The city offers endless opportunities to fuel my creativity, and I truly believe I wouldn’t have achieved the success I have today without starting my career in South Florida. The only thing I don’t like about Miami is the traffic (lol).
