Daily Inspiration: Meet Vanessa Ramirez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vanessa Ramirez.

Hi Vanessa, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My story begins in Hialeah, as a Cuban-American kid in the 90s, surrounded by a culture that’s vibrant and deeply expressive. That environment fostered a need in me to create. What started as a personal creative outlet under the name ‘Love Babs’ has organically evolved into ‘Love Babs Makes’, a dedicated platform for my artistic pursuits.

My journey as a creator is fundamentally about translation. I’m fascinated by exploring spiritual awareness and the process of transmuting personal challenge (shadow work) into creativity. My work is my method for channeling ethereal, intuitive messages and giving them a visual form in our tangible world.

In essence, my path has been from finding my voice, to understanding it as a tool for translation, to now building a community and sharing that journey of higher consciousness through my work online.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. A significant part of my journey has been navigating my neurodivergence, specifically ADHD and anxiety, which often manifests as intense imposter syndrome. What I call it the “cost of creativity.”

There have been many times where the gap between the spiritual concept in my mind and the physical creation felt impossible to bridge. The ADHD can make the process of documentation and consistent execution feel like climbing a mountain, while the anxiety and imposter syndrome would have me questioning if my voice even mattered.

But confronting this is the heart of my work by transmuting shadow into creativity. My own struggles with focus, self-doubt, and overwhelm have become the very subject I explore. By documenting my process openly, I’m not just showing the polished final product. I’m normalizing the messy, human, and neurodivergent experience behind the creation. It’s a practice of embracing the entire journey, not just the destination.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’d describe my work as a multi-sensory exploration of spiritual awareness. I translate ethereal, intuitive messages into tangible art forms, acting as a bridge between the internal world of consciousness and our external reality.

What I do and what sets me apart is my versatile approach. Being neurodivergent with ADHD means I don’t just work in one medium. I move fluidly across digital art, and other forms based on where the hyper-focus leads. This isn’t a lack of specialization. It’s a deliberate process of matching the perfect medium to the message. This versatility is my signature. I’m not a “master of none”, I’m a “conduit of many”, and that is what uniquely positions me to make the abstract nature of spirituality visually accessible.

Currently, I’m best known for my digital art, where I create vibrant, symbolic pieces that give form to concepts like shadow work, higher self, and universal connection. But the through-line isn’t a single technique, it’s the mission: to transmute shadow into creativity and make the journey of consciousness visible.

What I’m most proud of is my ability to birth these projects. The moment an abstract idea becomes a tangible piece of art leaves me feeling sparkly and awestruck, that feeling is my compass. It confirms I’m fulfilling my purpose, and I strive to evoke that same sense of wonder in my audience.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most is using my unique neurodivergent lens not just to create art, but to build bridges of understanding and to make the path to higher consciousness feel a little less lonely for anyone on it.
