Daily Inspiration: Meet Tre Tate

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tre Tate.

Tre Tate

Hi Tre, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
It all started with a summer job at the Maury County YMCA. I was about 19 years old working the front desk and I would see my best friend’s mom working out every other day with her trainer. At the time she was fighting breast cancer, so she was making a shift with her nutrition & exercise.

All of this was new to her, but I witnessed her sessions from the desk and how hands-on her trainer was with her. She kept her inspired, uplifted & focused and she eventually won the battle. I then remember saying to myself “I wish had someone like her at the time my parents were alive” Needless to say, That summer inspired me to change my major to Human Performance & Sports Science.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The first struggle is getting people to believe in you & your ability. If no one believes in you, then how do you build clientele? As a personal trainer, there are so many versions of us out there. So first I had to learn how to separate myself from the rest of the trainers around. I had to ask myself “What are most trainers doing?” which would lead me to what they weren’t doing.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in weight loss & nutrition, I am known for transforming a person’s physical physique, blood work, and physical activity level within six to eight months through nutrition & exercise. I am most proud of the fact that I have clients that range from 23 to 73 years old now, and through nutrition & exercise they are overcoming many of the issues that they came with.

What are your plans for the future?
My next goal is to open my own training facility and allow trainers who are just starting to have a home where they can not only learn but also be treated fairly. I currently have partnerships with some great supplement companies like Finaflex. Purus Labs, Sports Formula 99 & Alchemy Lab. Now I’m looking to partner with a fitness clothing line, so let’s see if it comes.
