Today we’d like to introduce you to SARAH BEN3T A.k.a. AVALON.
Hi SARAH, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a lifelong performer with stage performance starting at the age of 3. Growing up in the dance world gave me discipline and respect for all forms of art.
Using this mindset helped me skyrocket my professional career and I began touring the US at the age of 18 with Hoctor’s Dance Caravan. I furthered my training and interned with the renowned modern jazz dance company, Koresh Dance Company in Philadelphia and was invited to perform with the company in their showcases.
New opportunities soon emerged in LA and I became Assistant Director of M-Theory Dance Company, performing alongside Kaya Jones of The Pussycat Dolls, and appeared at some of LA’s most iconic venues such as The Belasco, El Rey Theatre, Key Club on the Sunset Strip, and venturing to the festival: Symbiosis Gathering outside San Francisco.
As my career evolved, I explored additional creative avenues in film and television, earning screen credits in Sex Pot, the Fox Reality Channel, and CMT productions. While these experiences were rewarding, they ultimately led me to a deeper realization: music was my true calling.
Determined to develop my voice as an artist, I immersed myself in intensive vocal training, studying opera and the Alexander Technique under vocal coach Tali Morrison. As I refined my craft, I began recording original music and performing as a lead vocalist at The Lighthouse Cafe, the legendary venue featured in La La Land.
Pathways opened up as my music evolved and the vibrant electronic music scene in Miami aligned perfectly with my artistic vision.
I joined Dubplates & Dragons, a Miami-based underground music group, record label, and event production company. The group operates under Native Culture, an artist-owned platform that supports musicians, performers, and digital creators through innovative technology and community-driven opportunities.
While performing shows throughout Florida with Hula Hoop Entertainer and Dancer, ISHKODE, we were invited to perform at ULTRA Music Festival Miami 2026 with Dubplates & Dragons. The raw talent in this group, combined with Miami’s artistic and adventurous energy, and Wolfee Wolfenstein’s performance and direction, had us radiating onstage, a phenomenal show that mesmerized and drew crowds.
The events with Dubplates & Dragons started erupting throughout South Florida. ISHKODE began her DJ career in the hottest clubs in Miami and Hollywood, FL. I am now recording dozens of songs with Dubplates & Dragons and hosting and performing at their events. I am honored to share my artistic range and be a part of this incredible movement. You can find me at our events as a Host, Singer, Dancer, and Hula Hoop Entertainer.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Life would not be as exciting without struggles and hardships. This gives beauty and uniqueness in artistic creations. If there is any advice I could give to upcoming artists, I would say never give up on following your dreams. Work on switching your perception when you feel stuck, although not in a way that ignores others or reality. Understand why the 3D squabbles are occurring and find the silver lining. Figure out how to balance yourself and how to control your habits, your patterns. Know yourself and what drives you and ride that momentum for as long as you can.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Currently, I am focused on recording music and performing with Dubplates & Dragons in Miami and throughout South Florida.
Under music producer and songwriter, Wolfee Wolfenstein, we are creating a diverse catalog that spans bass music, techno, house, and trance, blending powerful electronic production with live performance and storytelling.
Audiences can catch me performing at events such as Koncrete Jungle Miami, Techno Taco Thursdays, and Bring 5 Miami at the historic Churchill’s Pub, as well as appearances at Cabo Blanco in Hollywood, FL. During these performances, I showcase newly released music from the label while incorporating live vocals, dance, and hula hoop artistry to create a fully immersive experience.
I believe in the music we are creating. There is a deepness, authenticity, and magic woven into these productions—something that resonates differently with each listener while simultaneously connecting people through a shared collective experience.
My background in ballet, acrobat, and contortion blended with my vocal sound transmutation abilities and extensive vocal range enhances my performances with continuous surprise. These dynamic sets takes audiences on a ride enriched with sound and visuals!
In working with Dubplates & Dragons, we are passionate about bringing artists together, crossing genre boundaries, and creating opportunities for unique creative partnerships. One such collaboration is with Mariilyz, with whom I have worked previously and am currently developing new music that will be released through the label.
AVALON HECHISARAH P3NDRAGON is my artist name and character from the fantasy group with Dubplates & Dragons.
How do you define success?
Success is finding a way to live in a state of bliss and satisfaction. I used to set high expectations, long term goals that I was trying to get in a short amount of time. While still holding the long term vision, I set obtainable goals for myself and found that I felt more and more successful after each mini goal was completed. This blossomed a continuous satisfaction that became a pattern. Living in an everlasting bliss may be a high expectation, my soul just knows this is possible. I do believe in humanity and our ability to be our best selves. Life is a journey and we need contrast and balance, otherwise how boring. As long as I am making choices that align with the best version of myself, my higher self, I feel fulfilled with love and a sense of a deep peace.
