Daily Inspiration: Meet Sara Salvatierra and Gianfranco Gianforcaro

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sara Salvatierra and Gianfranco Gianforcaro

Sara/ Gianfranco, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
It all started when Gian and I met in College Station, TX. I was living in Dallas and Gian was in Miami at that time. The day we met, he promised me that if I visited Miami, he would take me on a date to Komodo. Sure enough, a couple of months later when I moved to Florida, he kept his word, and we had our first date there.

As our relationship grew, so did our love for food. We became passionate about discovering new places and trying different dishes together. On these dates, I started documenting every meal, sharing restaurant recommendations, tips on what to order, and even advice on how to dress for each spot.

“Party of Two” started in the Notes app, where we created guides with itineraries for plans in Miami for when our friends wanted to visit. These notes quickly turned into a record of all the places we had visited and spots we wanted to try out.

What began as a way to capture memories soon turned into a mission to inspire others to explore, taste, and fall in love with food.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been an easy road. One of our biggest struggles early on was managing a long-distance relationship. For the first few years, we were living in different cities, which made it challenging to see each other and enjoy quality time. On top of that, the rising inflation made it harder to go out every time without overspending, but it also motivated us to get creative and find better deals, turning us into more resourceful and savvy foodies.

Lastly, balancing a full-time job, full-time studies, and being full-time foodies has been an ongoing challenge. Maintaining a social media presence while managing full-time jobs and school can be overwhelming at times, but it’s something we’ve learned to navigate together. What we’ve realized is that with a little creativity and teamwork, we can make time for what we love while handling our responsibilities. These restaurant trips have become our way to disconnect from work and school and focus on ourselves.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Sara is currently pursuing her Computer Science degree while working full-time as an IT technician. Her passion and creativity are what truly drive Party of Two, and her dedication sets her apart. Balancing full-time work, full-time studies, and managing an active social media account is no easy feat, but Sara handles it all with determination and focus.

Gianfranco, on the other hand, works in investor relations at a hedge fund. His passion for finance, coupled with his natural interpersonal skills, plays a huge role in building relationships with potential partners. Coming from Italian descent, Gianfranco also has a deep love for food, and enjoying a great meal is something he truly values.

Together, we bring a unique blend of skills and passion to Party of Two, and it’s this balance that keeps us grounded and moving forward.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
We’d love to collaborate with other foodies, restaurants, and local spots in Miami. One of our main goals is to create a space that benefits both diners and restaurants. We want to form partnerships where we can share our love for food while helping businesses gain exposure and reach new audiences. By showcasing their offerings, we aim to help them connect with more customers and grow their presence in the culinary community. We believe that working together can lead to exciting opportunities for everyone involved!
